Great place, plus they let you play for a while and actually enjoy the time you spend at their casino, I don't go there to get rich I understand that it's gambling and just want to have fun and that's exactly what Dakota Magic does! I can play for a few hours and complete enjoy my experience with them unlike other casinos I've visited! I would recommend this casino over any other casino in North Dakota and Minnesota! The staff is so friendly and helpful here and if you have any questions they will get you the answers or will find someone who can!!! I absolutely love the pizza and tell them they should open a pizza place closer to Fargo, plus they make the best Fagatos! They also provide great comps and gas vouchers, our gas voucher pay for all the fuel we use to get there and back home so that to me is an amazing thing that I have only seen this casino do! Other than it taking over an hour to drive there my whole experience with Dakota Magic is excellent!!!
Whenever I have too much money in my pocket, I like to come to Dakota Magic and give it all away. 20+ visits and I have NEVER walked out with more than I came in with. The dining options let me re-live middle school: broke and eating low quality food. Sportsbook is nice and the drinks are cheap.
I really dislike their new free play payout scheme. It was better to go when my free play was once a week instead of the broken up way they're currently implementing. I live 4 hours away and USED to plan a trip there whenever I had appointments in Fargo. I haven't entered the door since this god awful program began SMH
Its VERY rare I post a review, however, after having housekeeping enter my room Sunday morning at 8:30 to see if we we're still there AND asking what time we plan to check out, I must post!
The casino is very clean, has a TON of machines, good food options, and the rooms themselves are great! My husband and family golfed; liked the course and had a good time!
However, on Sunday morning at 8:30, housekeeping entered our room (she opened the door about a foot) while we were sleeping. My husband jumped out of bed and said "what the hell" and she said she wanted to see if we had checked out AND she asked if we knew what time we planned to check out. This is SO inappropriate on SO many levels to say the least! She didn't even knock; she opened the door and saw us in bed sleeping!
We had family in the room across from ours, and they had a very similar situation with housekeeping.
I respect the privacy of others and in turn expect others to respect mine!
