Last November I set out to build a custom audio rack. My components and vinyl collection needed a dedicated space. The idea was to build a frame that could hold 500lbs of equipment and media while maintaining a professional look.
I designed and built the frame, and then found Rick. We discussed what wood species would work best with my dimensions and intended use. Ultimately, this shelf would be home to expensive gear, but more importantly, vibration sensitive gear.
Rick kept me informed throughout the process, reaching out with specific questions that we had not addressed initially. Additionally, he was willing to help me mortise the undersides to accommodate my frame’s variances in architecture.
Finally, I always planned to coat these myself. Rick helped me identify the best product to use and even drafted a document with all the process steps.
I highly recommend Coonhound for any custom millwork needs.
