Don't buy off compass, lawnmower set on fire, refund granted now over two weeks and still not received and it's now over 10 days and I've still not received a refund

I have checked our systems this morning and you refunded on the 15th September and was also sent an email confirming this, however due to this going through Stripe this can take up to 10 days to show back on your card i will send you an email with the refund details.

Mower (TG50) working great. Had an issue with the height adjust but Compass team helped me work through it to a mutually agreed solution without returning the unit. I would use Compass again.

After days of waiting for the dispatch tracking details, only to receive an email asking for clarification of payment, which was already paid via PayPal at the point of order placement, was devastating. I cancelled the order and received a refund. Not the best company to deal with; very disappointed.

Ordered a Spectrum Electric Wheelbarrow online, and placing order was straightforward, with quoted delivery of 3-5 working days, and 'Order Complete' notification within 48hrs. Delivery was reasonable, arriving on the 7th working day, although there was no prior notification of when I should expect delivery - absolutely no shipping updates after the 'Order Complete' e-mail, and no notifications from the shipping company. It just arrived one day unannounced... The website stated - "Shipping Info - If you’re buying a boxed product, the delivering company will contact you via phone or text to arrange delivery." That didn't happen... On receipt, there was some damage to the wheelbarrow due to damaged/inadequate packaging and/or handling - the battery-box had some minor damage to the fixing flanges, and the pan of the barrow was dented/scratched. Unfortunately, I was not present to receive delivery myself, but my house-sitter unpacked it and put it into a storage shed for my attention when I returned some time later. I have since assembled the unit and confirmed that it is functional, so hopefully the cosmetic damage won't affect the operation. Perhaps it should have been shipped as 2 packages, with the heavier battery box & wheel packed securely, and the lighter structural items in a separate package? Fortunately, initial tests seemed satisfactory, although I haven't used it 'in anger' yet... Due to the inadequate packaging, and a complete lack of shipping updates, I have given 3 stars.

The rotovator could have been better packed as there was a large hole in the box where some small items had fallen out but after checking I found only one part missing and Compass posted the missing part as soon as I reported the shortage which was with me 24hrs later. This service deserves 5* as it is very rare these days I will certainly use Compass again and recommend them to my friends.

Leaf Blower Probably my fault as you get what you pay for A wired leaf blower, yes, but with a12 inch wire and a 2 prong plug - if you can’t plug it in how does it blow !! Should of sent it back - arrived quickly though 😡

Very friendly salespeople, but unfortunately the aftercare has been extremely disappointing. I purchased a lawnmower from this company and was specifically told that it had only been used once. However, when it arrived, its condition told a very different story. In my opinion, it had clearly seen considerably more use than I had been led to expect and appeared to have been stored very poorly. As the photos show, there was significant rust and the overall condition was unacceptable. I immediately requested a refund. More than a week later, I am still waiting. I have repeatedly been told that the refund is being processed, that it is “arriving”, or that only the Managing Director has access to authorise it. Despite these repeated assurances, I have still not received my money back. The continued inability to process what should be a straightforward refund has now left me seriously concerned about the company and whether there may be wider financial issues. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I could not recommend buying from this company. The sales process was pleasant, but what happens after they have your money is equally important. I would also advise prospective customers to do their own research before purchasing, including looking into any other brands or trading names associated with the business.

Great service and keen pricing from Compass; would buy from again. Sealey SWC420 wood chipper arrived on a pallet and was easy to assemble; some paintloss in transit where metal components were rubbing against each other. Unit is very compact for the power; it's happy with branches 1-2inch diameter, anything bigger though requires a lot of operator input controlling feed rate and the last 2foot needs to be discarded if you don't want a blockage. Note that engine doesn't stall with a blockage but there's lots of smoke from the drive belt slipping so you need to turn it off sharpish! Was wondering why the wood chipper came with 3 spare belts!

Item we purchased was a 2 wheeled tractor and accessories. Item arrived with a broken handle. Messaged told non available and the last tractor in stock was reserved. Told waiting on an order. 2 weeks down the line and not heard a thing. £2000 Pound Item just sitting doing nothing. Would not recommend for After-Sales.

Im very sorry for the delay in you receiving a replacement part. These 2 wheeled tractors are a new item and there should have been spare parts arrive at the same time however this didnt happen , they have sold so well that we dont have a machine to take spares off. I can confirm the new handle has left us today via DPD and courier permitting will be with you tomorrow, we have also sent you some oil and an oil can as a gesture of good will for all the inconvenience you have been caused.

Compus garden mashenery are absolutely amazing I had a machine that I did not buy from them I just took it in to them and with in 5 minutes they had the problem sorted every time I need something done or I buy something I always go to them the customer service is 500 percent i will always recommend them for any garden mashenery or tools they are the best in Bedfordshire that I know

Simply the best! As a senior citizen new to ground care I failed at the first hurdle and bought the wrong ride-on. Having asked for help and advice I was granted a swap (following company policy)for a more suitable mower, which arrived today, and it is the best thing since sliced bread! I have the Chipperfield T16-38HSD and strongly recommend it for its feather light control and superb cutting ability. I have also purchased a Spectrum DM26L petrol Brushcutter (lightweight even for retired) and a steel bodied tipping trailer, so am a dedicated customer who will certainly be back for more. Excellent service and value. Peter.
