My husband and I bought our home in Bethesda in late 2025 knowing it needed a full renovation, but I wasn't sure we'd find someone who truly understood what we were envisioning. Talha did, almost right away. From our first meeting, he didn't just ask about finishes. He asked how we live, what we value in a space, and what feeling we wanted the home to have. He has real architectural training, and you can feel that in how he approaches material selection and spatial decisions. He didn't just show us options; he helped us understand why certain choices would work for our specific home and how we'd actually experience them day to day. He had opinions and shared them, which I appreciated. It's easy to get overwhelmed, and having someone with genuine expertise guide you confidently makes the whole process so much less stressful. We bought our home in Bethesda in November 2025 and signed our remodel contract with Boss Design Center shortly after. We were living in a rental during the entire renovation, so the timeline wasn't just a preference. It was a financial reality. Every week of delay cost us money. When we were shopping around, nearly every contractor we spoke to said they couldn't start until March 2026. Talha told us they could begin in late December. That alone told me something about how this company operates - They take their customer's needs seriously. Talha has a background in both design and architecture, and it shows. He understood the full scope of what we needed, both aesthetically and structurally, and Boss Design Center does all the work with their own in-house crew rather than subcontractors. That helped keep the project moving efficiently and ensured there was clear accountability throughout the renovation. We finished on schedule. We moved out of the rental when we planned to. And we now live in a home that genuinely feels like ours. The space works exactly the way we envisioned from the start. We recently finished a complete kitchen remodel with Boss Design Center, and the experience exceeded our expectations. Living in an older Bethesda home, our layout had some unique quirks and felt incredibly closed off. Talha and the design team actually pushed us to completely rethink the footprint rather than just swapping out cabinets. They opened up the walls, reconfigured the flow, and maxed out our storage in ways we hadn't thought possible. ​The craftsmanship is top-tier. We went with custom walnut cabinetry and large-format tile, and the precision in the alignment and finishes is outstanding. Carlos, our project manager, kept the crew organized and moving forward. We hired Boss Design Center for a full restoration of our DC home and honestly it was one of the best decisions we made. This was not just a kitchen or bathroom remodel, the project included pretty much everything from the basement all the way to the roof, including structural work, new kitchen, multiple bathrooms, flooring, electrical, plumbing and a lot of details we didn’t even know needed attention. What I appreciated most was that they were able to handle both the design and construction side. We had a pretty old house with plenty of surprises once walls started opening up, but Talha and his team always came up with solutions instead of creating more problems. They were very transparent about costs and explained things in a way that made sense. The craftsmanship was excellent and the finished house feels like a completely different home while still keeping its original character. There were definitely challenges along the way (as with any major renovation) but the team stayed responsive and worked through them. If you’re looking for a company that can take on a large complicated renovation and actually deliver, I would absolutely recommend Boss Design Center. We get compliments from friends and neighbors all the time and couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out.

We originally only planned to remodel the kitchen, but after seeing the design process and materials we ended up doing our bathrooms and flooring too. The kitchen came out really clean without looking “overdesigned” if that makes sense. Walnut cabinets, under cabinet lighting, and the way they lined up the flooring throughout the first floor made the whole house feel connected. One thing I appreciated was they were pretty straight forward from beginning. They did push us away from some ideas that probably looked good on Pinterest but would not work in real life long term. At first I thought they were being difficult honestly, but after construction started I understood why. Bathroom tile work especially was very sharp. We did large format tile and I was expecting uneven lines because our old house walls were all over the place, but it came out much better then expected. Flooring crew also did a good job minimizing dust compared to other contractors we used before. Project was not perfect every single day obviously, there were delays on couple material items and sometimes communication got busy during inspections, but overall they handled issues instead of disappearing. Thats rare with contractors nowdays. Boss Design Center is probably better for people doing real renovations and custom work, not just cosmetic refreshes. You can tell they care alot about the final look and details.

Boss Design Center designed and built us a truly custom kitchen with walnut inset cabinets, integrated appliances, and details that honestly look more like furniture than cabinetry. The craftsmanship and precision was on another level , everything lines up perfectly, the reveals are consistent, and the walnut finish looks rich and natural instead of overly glossy or fake. Talha and the team approached the project more like designers than contractors. They spent a lot of time refining layouts, appliance integration, storage solutions, and lighting so the kitchen would not only look beautiful but function perfectly day to day. They also handled difficult details that other companies completely overlooked. The built-in appliance installation came out incredibly clean and seamless. The kitchen feels high-end and warm at the same time, which is exactly what we wanted. Communication throughout the project was direct and professional, and their crew kept the site surprisingly organized for a major renovation. This was not a cheap “refresh” project it was a full custom kitchen, and the final result absolutely reflects that level of quality

We recently completed a full home renovation with Boss Design Center in DC and honestly the experince was great from start to finish. We renovated pretty much everything including kitchen, bathrooms, flooring, lighting, and some structural changes. Jennifer was our designer and she really understood the style we were going for without making the house feel overdesigned. The whole team was very responsive and easy to communicate with, which is honestly rare in this industry. There was of course some delays here and there because of permits and custom orders, but they always kept us updated and never disappeared on us like some contractors do. Carlos the project manager was on top of everything and made sure things moved forward properly. What impressed us most was the quality of the custom cabinetry and all the details. The finished house feels like a completly different home now and the workmanship really shows. A lot of our friends thought we bought a new house when they saw it after renovation. If you are looking for a company that actually cares about design and not just doing quick construction work, I would definitely recommend Boss Design Center. Not the cheapest company, but you get what you pay for and we are very happy we went with them.

Poor communication and apparently they don’t do anything beyond kitchen and bathroom renovation. I booked an appointment online to discuss a project I wanted to do in my living room. I received a Google Calendar invite for the appointment. It was then cancelled without any email or phone call to say why. I went in person at the scheduled appointment time thinking it was a mistake. The employee who had sent me the invite was not there. I was told I would be called to schedule a home visit to begin planning my project. Then I received an email the next day that unfortunately they don’t do the type of project I was interested in. I’m disappointed with the communication. A phone call before the date of my appointment to explain would have been appreciate. I feel my time was wasted.

We did two large projects with Talha and his team: complete rebuilds of the master bathroom and the kitchen. We are extremely happy with the outcome (as you can see from the pictures that we took). Talha is a great designer to work with. He "gets" us. We do not have to specify the details, just the "vibe" we want, and he works with us to translate that into a design that perfectly reflects our vague desires. In our case, we wanted the master bathroom to be Zen, natural, and organic where we could feel relaxed. We wanted the kitchen to be French country but with a bit more of a modern, bright twist (i.e. not too overly "country"). You can judge from the pictures how well he translated that very high level requirements into reality. One of the best qualities that Talha possesses is the fine balance between getting customer input and providing his expert guidance. We always end up at a good place if/when he nudges us in some direction. We know we do not know everything, which is why we are hiring a professional. The implementation team is also very capable and professional. The workmanship is excellent. The team is very accommodating when the unavoidable unexpected situations happen (we had our share of "live" design tweaks and unforeseen circumstances!) We would highly recommend Talha and his team at Boss Design.
