Just back from an amazing afternoon tea with the alpacas, and what a wonderful experience it was too.
Mark and Carol were lovely hosts and laid on a lovely tea for us.
Mark gave a lovely talk all about the alpacas and very interesting history of the local area.
Will definitely be going back, hopefully when the alpacas have their fur coats on and carry baby alpacas. 🥰

Just back from an amazing afternoon tea with The Alpacas.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time there this afternoon and definitely will be going back. Mark and Carol were wonderful hosts and laid on a lovely tea, and Mark gave a talk on the alpacas and shared some very interesting history of the area too.
Mark & Carol were very welcoming. Mark was brilliant with a little history lesson and knowledge about the Alpacas. The food was delicious, and no trouble in doing a tea or coffee refill.
A group of us went to celebrate a friend's birthday. Had a great time, an introduction to alpacas first, then we got to meet and feed them carrot treats. They are so cute and friendly - well I guess that was the carrots! Handwashing organised and then the tea. Carol cooks everything herself and that was just brilliant. Caters for dietary issues, vegan and gluten free in our group. My 2nd trip and will no doubt go again next year. The birthday cake was extra, but delicious and beautifully decorated.
Great time with the Alpacas. Good fun and the afternoon tea was delicious.
Beautiful gardens this was my 2nd visit, I’ll definitely be visiting again.

To top it off, the afternoon tea was absolutely delicious and served in the most beautiful surroundings. We will certainly be back!
What an absolutely gorgeous afternoon! We had our daughter’s 10th birthday with the alpacas and couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Carol and Mark were such brilliant hosts - the girls loved everything from the informative talk to the delicious afternoon tea in the ‘Pacapod’. To top it all off, they were even allowed to shower the alpacas to help cool them down in the hot weather! 10/10 experience, highly recommend :-)
What a beautiful place, I had a very relaxing afternoon meeting Carol and Mark’s alpacas. Very informative and fun, and all of the cream tea was delicious. I also purchased some flowers grown by Carol and it was the most generous and beautiful bouquet I’ve ever had.
Thank you
If you want to see and feed some Alpac's this is the place to go plus they do an amazing afternoon tea as well. Really worth going to
Some friends and I had a great afternoon at Bewl Rookery. From the moment we arrived, everything felt peaceful and personal. The experience began with a warm welcome and a bit of a history lesson of the land, the alpacas, and how Carol and Mark came to own them - including heartfelt stories of the ones they've sadly lost.
The alpacas aren't just there for entertainment - they're much loved pets and truly part of Carol and Mark's family. It was a privilege to share their world for a few hours and enjoy such a memorable experience on their beautiful grounds.
The afternoon tea was delicious, with ingredients grown right on their grounds - a lovely touch that made everything feel fresh and thoughtfully prepared. We were lucky to have had a lovely, warm sunny day. The whole experience was incredibly relaxed. The hosts are so warm and welcoming - we had a lovely conversation with them too.
Feeding and spending time with the alpacas was a highlight - they're gentle, calming, and truly lovely to be around.
It's clear that every detail of the experience is crafted with care and love.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique, tranquil, and heart-warming afternoon. It's definitely worth it!

My two five year old granddaughters and I had the most wonderful afternoon feeding the friendly alpacas after a very good introduction to the geography and history of the region plus alpaca husbandry by Mark. Carol’s tea was absolutely sumptuous and we were so well looked after. It was a real treat and extremely memorable. The girls haven’t stopped telling everyone about it!
Myself and three friends had afternoon tea at Bewl Rookery last week and it was such a lovely afternoon.
