The location was great, and we got to drive the sleds ourselves which is a great perk. The dogs look well cared for and the handlers do a great job and know the dogs well.

Loved the husky ride and experience at Baba Husky! The dogs were well cared for and the Baba Husky team was happy to answer our questions and let us interact with the dogs. The 5km tour was the perfect length for our group. The provided boots and outerwear kept us warm and dry throughout the tour! They even went above and beyond and helped me pull my car out of a snow bank! Can't say enough good things about Baba Husky! Awesome experience!

This was the best experience our group had during the trip. Once we arrived at the property, about a 25 minute drive from the Arctic Treehouse Hotel, we were all fitted with the gear they provided. The waterproof one-piece jumpsuit, boots, and gloves were perfect for this excursion, especially since you can get wet sitting on the wooden sled seat.
As we walked over to the sleds, we could hear all the dogs barking excitedly. It was hilarious watching them jump around, eager to run. There were two people per sled, and our group had six sleds total. No one went alone on the sled.
We started with a demonstration on a stationary sled, where our instructor, Jim, explained everything we needed to know about driving. He was kind, funny, and incredibly helpful, making us feel comfortable while emphasizing the importance of the dogs’ safety. The key rule was never to let your dogs overtake the sled in front of you. At one point, our dogs veered off to the right, and Jim quickly helped guide them back on track, thank you for that.
I rode in the sled first while my partner stood behind me to drive. We were surprised by how fast it went, especially when the instructor released the rope and our team took off after the lead pack. After about 40 minutes, we stopped to switch drivers, and the instructors kindly took photos of everyone during the break.
My partner mentioned his forearms got a bit sore from gripping tightly, but I didn’t feel the need to hold on that hard, so it wasn’t an issue for me. Slowing down or stopping was easy. You just press your foot on the metal brake bar at the back of the sled. We had initially worried about slipping due to the oversized boots, but none of us had any problems.
Overall, it was an incredible experience and absolutely worth it.

Erg leuke trip gehad met Baba Husky team. Goede uitleg, leuke Safari, met een relatief kleinere groep. Mede hierdoor was het overzichtelijk en konden we in het algemeen lekker doorgaan, zonder veel stops. Tijdens de geplande stop om te wisselen van bestuurder werden er door door het team foto’s gemaakt. Erg leuke activiteit, aanrader!

Wir haben gestern Abend ganz kurzfristig für heute die Husky-Tour gebucht und wir waren zunächst etwas unsicher, ob auch alles klappt und ob es BabaHusky wirklich im Wald auch wirklich gibt. Am nächsten Tag waren wir überwältigt von der Natur, den Hunden, der Tour und wie liebevoll die Mitarbeiter mit den Hunden umgegangen sind. Es hat alles reibungslos funktioniert und der Guide war sehr nett! Unsere bereitgestellten Anzüge waren schön warm und für unsere 1-jährige haben wir einen zusätzlichen Fellsack erhalten. Ihr ging es so gut, dass sie sogar während der Tour einschlief. Danke BabaHusky!

Our 10 km ride with Baba Husky was truly an unforgettable experience — easily one of the highlights of our trip!
From the very beginning, everything was perfectly organized. The staff arrived at the collection point early — and we were actually picked up about 15 minutes before the scheduled time. They were courteous, polite, and immediately made us feel comfortable by starting friendly conversations. It was such a warm and welcoming start to the adventure.
Upon arrival at the farm, we were greeted with genuine excitement — not just from the staff, but from the dogs as well! You could immediately feel how much they love what they do. All the provided shoes and garments were clean, fresh, and looked brand new. Everything was well-prepared and very professional.
The huskies themselves were in excellent shape — healthy, energetic, and clearly eager to run. Seeing their enthusiasm to pull the sled was amazing. It was obvious that they are well cared for and loved.
The 10 km forest ride was simply magical. The snowy forest and the tracks were absolutely stunning — peaceful, scenic, and straight out of a winter fairytale. Gliding through the forest behind a team of powerful, happy huskies is something that’s hard to describe — you just have to experience it. It was thrilling, serene, and breath taking all at once.
After the ride, we were invited inside and served hot beverages and biscuits, which was the perfect way to warm up. The staff also took the time to explain the different types of huskies and share interesting information about the dogs. It added a meaningful and educational touch to an already incredible experience.
If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. This was a truly wonderful experience from start to finish, and we will definitely come back again in the near future. Highly, highly recommended!

We will be back
We did the 5 km mushing tour with Baba Husky and had a really great experience. My 14-year-old son actually chose the company himself, and I first contacted them through Instagram. From the very beginning, they were friendly, responsive, and easy to communicate with, which already gave us a good feeling. We booked the pickup from the city center in Rovaniemi, and Jim was the one who picked us up. He was very welcoming and clearly knows a lot about the dogs. On the way, he shared stories about them and answered our questions, which made the whole experience feel more personal. At the kennel, our guide Jędrzej was amazing. He explained everything about the dogs and how the kennel works, and you could really see his passion. He made sure we understood what to do and felt comfortable before we started. The tour itself was unforgettable, and my son absolutely loved it. He’s begging me to come back to his new friend Dakota ( the lead dog for our sledge).

Experiencia muy buena visitando Baba Husky, primero llevan a la zona donde tienen los perros para verlos, incluso los cachorros, sacaron a dos para poder cogerlos y acariciarlos. Te explican sus cuidados y sus rutinas (buenas condiciones). Luego el paseo, largo y por una zona muy bonita del bosque, no se pierde el tiempo. Opción de transporte desde el centro de Rovaniemi por 15€/persona (detalle por el que le bajo una estrella, otras empresas lo incluye en el precio).

Bellissima esperienza! Siamo una famiglia numerosa, ma Jedrzej è stato molto gentile e paziente con tutti noi. Prima del giro ci ha spiegato attentamente le regole e ci ha fornito le indicazioni per guidare le slitte in sicurezza. Le tute e gli scarponi messi a disposizione da Baba Husky sono fantastici, nonostante i -20 non abbiamo sentito freddo. I paesaggi sono fantastici! Giro stupendo, cani bellissimi e coccoloni, apprezzatissimo il momento “pet the dogs” che ha sciolto un po’ tutti. Grazie a Jedrzej anche per l’attenta spiegazione su come viene gestita la farm e come vengono tenuti i cani. Bellissimo, super consigliato, vale assolutamente la pena un giro da Baba Husky!

Un moment fabuleux ! Notre guide musher était hyper sympa, drôle et bienveillant. On sent dans cette "ferme" un vrai amour des animaux. L'accueil était chaleureux et la balade un vrai plaisir dans la forêt. J'aurais dû réserver une balade plus longue... Moi qui n'aime pas (et ai peur) des chiens, je me suis laissée entraîner dans cette activité par la famille et j'ai adoré ! A ne pas manquer !!!

Une expérience inoubliable ! Notre musher était vraiment super, drôle, chaleureux et bienveillant ! Les chiens sont bien traités et la ferme est à taille humaine. La balade dans la forêt extraordinaire même si nous aurions bien aimé "lâcher un peu plus les chiens 😁".
