We had an amazing time diving with Azul Komodo while doing our PADI Advanced Open Water course. JoAnn (our dive coach) and Amina (our instructor) were both fantastic. They were patient, calm, and very professional, while still keeping the atmosphere fun.
The boat, Biru Asmara, was superb: clean, comfortable, well-organized and equipped with everything a diver needs for a full day out at sea.
We always felt safe, well-briefed and looked after, and the focus on eco-and-reef-friendly diving was a big plus. Overall, an excellent experience for both me and my son Aman. I would highly recommend this to anyone and we would love to come back!
Great experience with Azul Komodo

I would highly recommend this to anyone and we would love to come back! Also, Komodo is a great dive site. We saw so many large Manta Rays, back-tip + white-tip sharks, turtles and so much of the Indo-pacific reef marine life. It was just breathtaking.

I got my PADI Open Water certification at Azul, and it was fantastic! The communication was seamless from start to finish, and the instructors were professional, kind, and incredibly patient. I felt safe and comfortable every moment, both in and out of the water.
The boat is super chill and the food is amazing. Azul also actively cares about ocean health and keeps their environmental impact as low as possible. They even serve only vegetarian meals on board. This was one of the main reasons I chose Azul over other dive schools.
In total, I did six dives in Komodo and saw so much marine life: manta rays, sharks, turtles, tons of fish, and beautiful coral. The crew knows the area so well and does everything they can to make the experience unforgettable.
A special thanks to Andrew and Stefan: your enthusiasm and love for diving are truly contagious. I can’t wait to plan my next dive! 🌊💙

The best Dive Center in Komodo hands down!
Best instructors/guide, they love what they do and they’re good at it. Whether for a fun dive trip or to take you PADI exam, I recommend 100%. They know the spots, they work with local community, they pay particular attention to preserve the coral reef.

Un centro de Buceo espectacular, realice 6 Inmersiones (2 dĂas completos) en total con ellos y cada cual mejor. En una de ellas pude ver a 25 mantas y en un mismo instante 8 mantas danzando al lado mĂo, 5 en la parte de adelante y 3 en la parte trasera.
El barco tiene en la parte superior una zona con puf para poder descansar hasta que se llegan a las inmersiones y te dan un pequeño desayuno, asà como comida (muy buena) y un pequeño almuerzo.
Están muy pendiente de la seguridad y muy pendiente de uno durante las inmersiones (porque habĂa inmersiones con fuertes corrientes) y con equipos en buenas condiciones.
Un centro de buceo que recomiendo por todas las circunstancias

I completed my Advanced Open Water Course with Azul / JoAnn as an instructor and it was AMAZING! Extremely professional and knowledgeable. JoAnn made me feel safe the entire time, even in strong currents, and I learned a ton. The staff is wonderful and food is plenty and very very good. The boat is extremely comfortable. They accommodated my last minute request to do the course. Excellent all around! Don’t think twice - book with Azul!

I recently completed a 7-day dive trip with Azul in Komodo. The sites were stunning, the logistics well-managed, and I genuinely enjoyed being underwater. It was a memorable experience, both technically and personally.
I came in with limited drift experience and hadn’t dived in currents at all apart from the Advanced course specialty dive that I had done more than a year ago—so I knew I was on a learning curve and committed to getting better. On Day 3, I accidentally made contact with some coral while trying to stay trimmed in the current. On Day 4, I had a panic moment during a drift dive. Both incidents were completely unintentional, I could only apologize and strive to do better.
From that point on, I focused on improving my posture, buoyancy, and mindset with each dive.
Even though the contact was accidental, the importance of protecting these ecosystems is pinnacle, and the responsibility that dive centers carry in maintaining them is immense. I appreciate that Azul continued to support me through the rest of the trip, and I did my best to stay accountable and adapt quickly and I was happy with the progress thereafter.
Special thanks to Alfredo, Juventus, Jo-Ann, Johnny, Marco and Natalie for being my buddy and guide for the dives over the last 7 days. Great to meet Andrew and Ricky too.
Our daily dive trips were hosted aboard Biru Asmara, which served as a reliable and comfortable shelter throughout the week. Big thanks to Captain Teddy and his crew for keeping things smooth, safe, and well-run on the water. The breakfast, lunch for authentic Indonesian cuisine and the post dive snack added a layer of warmth and hospitality that made the experience feel complete.
Komodo was a great learning curve. It challenged me, taught me, and sharpened my mindset more than anything else. I left with more awareness and a deeper respect for the underwater world. Thank you Azul for everything.

Absolutely amazing first diving experience!
I did my PADI Open Water course here, and it was incredible. From start to finish, everything felt professional, safe, and fun. The staff were super friendly, responsible, and clearly passionate about diving. I always felt comfortable and well taken care of.
My instructors, Marco and Amina, who were both fantastic — patient, knowledgeable, and made every dive exciting and enjoyable.
Couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to diving. I highly recommend this place to anyone thinking about getting certified — you’ll be in great hands!

Wir haben einen fun dive mit refresher gebucht und hatten drei unvergessliche Tauchgänge mit unserem Guide Marco! Wir haben uns den ganzen Tag sicher und in guten Händen gefühlt. Die gesamte Crew war super freundlich und die Tauchspots waren wahnsinnig schön. Mit Schildkröten und Mantas zu tauchen war für uns einfach unvergesslich! Danke an das gesamte Azul-Team und vor allem an unseren dive Master Marco, der uns super durch die Tauchspots geführt hat! :)

I had an amazing 6 days with Azul. Crew were personable and the dives were smooth sailing. Saw everything I wanted to see, including many mantas during what was supposed to be the off-season. While most say that's down to luck, I'm sure good vibes plays a part as well!
