Wonderful time with Houssain hiking up Toubkal. I recommend 100%! Houssain is very friendly and accommodating. He was particularly helpful sorting out some last minute issues on our return to Marrakech. The weaker members of our little group would have liked a little more presence on occasions during the climb. What a fantastic experience with Houssain as our guide! My husband and I chose a private trek as I’m not super fit and didn’t want to feel rushed trying to keep up with a group. Houssain was incredibly encouraging throughout the entire climb and honestly the main reason I made it to the summit! The conditions were tough — strong winds, thin air, and temperatures that felt like -10°C — but he constantly made sure we were safe, comfortable, and well looked after. We also opted for a private room in the refuge, which was warm, comfortable, and absolutely worth it! If you’re planning Toubkal, come prepared with proper gear and a decent level of fitness — this mountain is no joke! But with the right guide, it’s an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend Houssain!

Houssain looked after us on a 2 day guided walk across the Atlas starting from Imlil. We were at 1600 to 2000 meters. He was safe, courteous, fluent in English, and experienced. He has been a guide for over 10 years. Food and planning was excellent. Very knowledgable and good fun. Highly recommended. We will seek him out again if we ever return.
