David & Valerie were a pleasure to work with. From the beginning, they took time to explain the process, walk us through everything and answer all our concerns. They were not the cheapest, but based on how well they explained the process and their thoroughness, we decided to work with them. We are so glad we did! As with many projects these days there were supply chain delays, change orders, and issues that had to be resolved, but their professionalism and communication with us was outstanding, and worth every extra penny. By the end of this project, I almost felt like they were friends, rather than "my contractors". All the subs were also great people to work with and really went above and beyond. We really love how our remodeled kitchen turned out! Thank you so much David & Valerie!

David and Valerie recently completed a transformative renovation of our home garage. The project involved converting the space into a gym, half bath, mudroom, laundry room, and a unique pet room for our family rabbit. Thanks to their exceptional work, our rabbit now enjoys the freedom to join us in the family room through a cleverly designed door—a delightful feature that highlights their creativity and attention to detail. David and Valerie demonstrated unparalleled professionalism throughout the entire project. They were consistently on time, maintained excellent communication, and managed their team of subcontractors with precision and care. Their ability to coordinate all aspects of the project ensured that everything proceeded smoothly and efficiently. The materials used were of the highest quality, and their craftsmanship exceeded our expectations. Every detail, from the layout to the finishes, was executed flawlessly. Whenever an issue arose or we requested changes, David was incredibly accommodating and worked collaboratively to find solutions that aligned with our vision. The project was completed on time and within budget, which speaks volumes about their organizational skills and commitment to delivering outstanding results. Moreover, David and Valerie were always friendly and upbeat, making the renovation process an enjoyable experience for our family. We knew that we wanted to work with David and Valerie the moment we met them. After living in our house for 12 years, we had let a lot of projects fall by the wayside, so many that we needed a contractor. We wanted to remove the popcorn ceilings, update the entry, reface the fireplace, replace windows and doors, replace the cracked kitchen granite, relocate the washer/dryer, replace the toilet and floor in the master bath, and update the outdoor lighting. David and Valerie submitted to us a proposal that fell within our budget and aligned with what we wanted. The entire project was outlined ahead of time, and they made sure everything was on schedule. The only delay was a manufacturer delay for the front door, and all work was completed to our standards. When the project was done, Community Builders hired professional cleaners to clean the interior and a professional to power wash the exterior.

Immediately after you've done a remodel or repair, a person quickly assesses whether the job was great, bad, or somewhere in between. Unfortunately, that is usually an emotional response fueled by many factors, not all related to the actual work. However, when you assess a job after living with the results for several years, you have a clearer perspective on its worth and success. In 2021 Community Builders did major work on a home we had recently purchased. It started as a few repairs and morphed into a major remodel of broken systems and needed changes. After three years, I would assess the work as excellent. The improved livability of our home and the overall functionality are impressive. David and Valerie's advice, guidance, oversight, and planning of the project were exceptional. I highly recommend Community Builders for your home projects!

Community Builders managed the design and construction of one of our bathrooms. They provide not only crisp and realistic design ideas and options, they deployed some of the best craftsmen I’ve seen in the home remodel business. This project was tricky and required complete demolition in tight quarters and reconfiguration of several services. The contractor took that aspect on with ease to our surprise! Schedules were followed and their communication was stellar, unlike most experiences we’ve had in the past. They guided us to the right look and quality while managing the budget. The outcome was fantastic. The new bathroom fits seamlessly into our home style and decor and stands out with its clean and modern look. We couldn’t be happier.

It must be a difficult task to keep a major home renovation going during a pandemic. Supply shortages, workers out sick, scheduling projects. Yet the Minors persevered and kept everything moving forward. With our type of project, surprises lurked behind every wall, the floor and the attic. Twice, we thought the project done, only to discover something additional that required urgent fixing. At either of those points, the Minors could fairly have walked away. Our contracted projects were done. However they stayed with us until the end. My apologies to their other customers who must have experienced a delay because of their commitment to us. Thank you, David and Valerie. Your home will be in good hands if you hire them for whatever project you have in mind.

If I could give a rating of 10 to Community Builders, I would. They have completed two remodel projects for us - an extensive kitchen remodel three years ago, and most recently a master bath remodel. Both projects are beautiful! I can't say enough about about how much we trust and respect David and Valerie Minor, and the quality work they do. They are excellent communicators, honest and reliable, and do quality work. Dave is so knowledgeable, and has a solution for pretty much any challenge in the process. Valerie provides great design input and research, and communicates updates every step of the way. We feel so fortunate to have found them. Community Builders is the only company I will use for future building projects.

If we could give 10 stars, we would! How do we begin to tell you how wonderful this contractor team is? We had a major remodel, with load bearing walls removed. We had heard all the horror stories. Talked to 8 different contractors. They were unresponsive, uninterested, unwilling to listen and communicate. That all changed with one call to Community Builders. Within one minute of leaving a message, Valerie returned my call. After several meetings and lots of anxiety, we chose them as our contractor. Best contracting decision we could ever make. The perfect contractor dynamic duo! They are both well organized, great communicators, very approachable, and so very helpful. We had an idea of what we wanted. They both worked with us to achieve our vision. Imagine a contractor who is pleasant to work with? Our new home is absolutely beautiful! Dave and his sub contractors were professional, courteous, on time and highly competent. Never in a million years, did we think our contractor would be so awesome. We will use them again and are grateful for our new friendship!

We hired Community Builders last fall '18 to do a huge kitchen remodel. Which included removing walls, moving duct work, plumbing, electrical. Installing new doors, lighting, cabinets, quartz counters, subway tiles, a huge island, hardwood flooring, new pantry, & casings. Our kitchen has truly transformed from cramped & outdated to Spacious, Gorgeous & Inviting! Comm.bldr., walked us through the entire process. Community Builders worked on a major update to our kitchen, powder room and family room. CB was fabulous . David Minor does the construction part; Wife Valerie ensures the back end and project management go smoothly. David is a hands on perfectionist who ensures things are done right and on time. He is a great problem solver and can figure out solutions when things aren't straightforward. David was often on site for hours to ensure things went smoothly, He checked in daily on days he couldn't be there, He and Valerie have good design sense and are honest, straightforward and principled. They take pride in their work and are a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend them.

We hired David and Valerie to do a complete kitchen and laundry room remodel. We've been incredibly happy with their work and they will definitely be our go-to contractors for future projects. Being first time home owners who've never tackled anything like this, we were very nervous to start this project. After interviewing several contractors, we finally met with David and Valerie and immediately felt more comfortable with them than any of the others. They provided us with the most thorough quote so we could see where money would be allocated, and they were very organized in communicating what to expect before and all project long. David was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the work being performed and when issues popped up, came up with creative solutions to each one. The sub-contractors they brought in were wonderful too, and were respectful of our home. We felt Community Builders gave us the extra hand holding and complete project management we needed - they are also very nice humans who went above and beyond! Our initial project was done in the timeframe given (and they were flexible when we added on a little more ;) ) and we've been in love with the results. We highly recommend Community Builders!
