We started out with shades only and the day before the installation, we added screens to our porch. Adding this did not delay installation and the guys did a great job on both. The functionality of the shades exceeded our expectations. Our original intent was just to shade the morning sun (our porch faces east in the morning), but we've also found they do a great job of cutting down the breeze on breezy days, especially since we are on the lake and there is nothing to break the breeze. They also help when it rains toward the porch to help keep the rain out. We have a small firepit in the screen porch and the shades do a great job of holding in the heat. We have the rechargeable motors. The remote works great, as well as wifi. Mark was great to work with and they are highly recommended.

When Mark came out to provide a quote for our screened porch, he not only listened carefully to what we wanted but also offered several thoughtful options, clearly explaining the pros and cons of each. Thanks to his recommendations, we chose exterior-mounted, single-roll motorized shades and replaced a couple of smaller screen sections with matching shade material. Throughout the process, we were kept well informed of the production and installation schedule, which made everything smooth and stress-free. The results are fantastic—our porch is now protected not only from the sun, but also from wind, rain, and dust/pollen, all while giving us added privacy. The installers, Kaleb and Cam, were professional, detail-oriented, and left no damage or mess behind. We’ve been looking into outdoor shades for a while because our house faces East, and the afternoon sun is brutal, especially in the summer. With four kids and a dog, we basically live outside by our pool, and we needed something that would actually keep our patio cool and comfortable. Mark was awesome! He walked us through all the options and made sure we got exactly what worked for our space. Now, the motorized shades make it so much easier to enjoy our patio without worrying about the heat or messing with umbrellas. I love that I can adjust them with just the push of a button, especially when we have people over! The whole process was smooth, and they even checked in after install to make sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend!

The product and workmanship are excellent. Mark is a perfectionist and very attentive to every detail. We had two remote control shades installed on either side of our porch for privacy and sun control. We get a lot of wind in our backyard, more so than our neighbors because we are in a wind tunnel. I was very concerned about that when choosing the blinds and only Carolina shades guaranteed that we could leave the blinds down with winds up to 60 miles an hour. During our recent hurricane the blinds held up wonderful.
