This sushi restaurant is not your regular sushi place - it is a special gem! It is by far THE most meticulously made sushi using only freshest high grade fish and sushi ingredients. You really cannot compare to any other place in the city. Please take the time to come and try it out- the owners are fantastic and talented. Please support our local businesses- they are keepers!

We first tried this place during Imagine Monkland where they were serving some delicious pork skewers under their tent during the Monkland street fair. After looking at their menu we just had to try their other items and we were not disappointed. They have a very original menu with a take on Japanese tapas style dishes that are made to share. The highlights were the Tartare Tacos and the Giant Shrimp, but everything was very tasty. We did not try the sushi and we didn't even get to try any of the specials, so we will be back to explore the menu further.

For those interested in the background of this 1-star review, this customer was smoking on our terrace, even though he wasn't dining at the restaurant.
We politely asked him if he wanted a table and asked him not to smoke on the terrace, hence the 1-star review.
1st- smoking is prohibited on any terrace, not just ours. May I ask why you didn't smoke on the terrace at the restaurant you were dining, but chose to do so on ours?
2nd - his 2 children were climbing on tables and benches. Our terrace is on the street, with cars driving by. We are not comfortable and would not want to be liable for any accidents that may have occurred had we allowed the smoking to continue on the terrace.

We had dinner at Yufuku last Thursday, the place looked nice but was pretty empty. The server was very nice and the service was quick.
Unfortunately the food was a bit disappointing. We ordered two rolls and a platter of sashimi. The rolls were quite big and well presented, but a bit tasteless. The sashimis looked good and thick, but half of them were tough and unpleasant to eat, the salmon still had the grey part underneath and were very chewy instead of the melt-in-your-mouth texture I'm used to.
For drinks, we tried the litchi punch which was nice and fresh.
Overall, the restaurant looked nice but the food was disappointing and expensive for the quality we received.
One of the best sushi places I've been to. I have been to some pretty good ones including Park; Sushi Okeya Kyujiro; Hidden Fish and Kitano Shokudo. I would put this place in front of them all for the following reasons:
1) When I go out for a meal I like to feel full and satisfied at the end of the meal.
2) I like to be in an atmosphere which is friendly; welcoming and relaxing.
3) I want top quality and quantity in other words value for the money spent.
4) I want to be surprised and delighted.
Yufuku fit the bill on all these criteria.
I would highly recommend the Sashimi Platter and the Sushi Aburi in particular.
I would encourage sushi lovers to give this place a try. You will not be disappointed.
