Anita handled all of the permitting and coordination with our local utility company. We really appreciate the energy savings and would highly recommend them. And just last night our neighborhood had a power outage; thanks to the solar battery backup we still had electricity.

Your Home Solar was great to work with. It began with Micha arriving exactly at the appointment time doing a full review of our solar needs, and conducting an inspection of the location for the installation. Next was a review of our power bills and a system design. After agreeing to the price an installation time frame was laid out. The crew arrived as planned for the install. I waited nearly a year to post this review so I could see how the system performed across the seasons. I had it installed in November 2025, so production was naturally lower at first, but by spring and summer my savings really showed up. I'm averaging about a hundred dollars a month off my electric bill. We've had several outages from cars hitting poles and downed lines, but the battery backup kept my house powered while the rest of the neighborhood was dark. This has been one of the best upgrades I've made to my home. Your Home Solar exceeded my expectations, and John Dando did an outstanding job helping us through the process and helping us us get the exact system I needed for our house. I highly recommend Your Home Solar.

I’m currently running at 95-100% solar, 0-5% on the grid after 7 months from installation. To date I’ve saved &2500 on the monthly electric bills. I only wish the total price was still deductible on federal income tax .

The project took an extra afternoon because of unexpected weather, though the team stayed professional the entire time. Came free all the way from Knoxville to Cleveland to fix something that was probably my fault. Took all the time to make it right. (My solar system that they didn’t install 8 years ago wasn’t getting data to the internet.) Great people.

Customer service was great. We had our solar system installed by a company that is no longer in business. Your home solar has serviced our system since then. My only regret is that we did not buy our system from your home solar.

I’m having a great experience with Your Home Solar – they have taken me on as an orphan customer thanks to the original company going out of business. They did help me with removing the system when I had to get a new roof after hail damage. The system has been more reliable after the re-installation though. I especially appreciated the friendly customer support. Highly recommend!

Approximately 2 years ago we inquired about the benefits of solar for our home. Listened to the sales pitch and decided to proceed. (We had researched the company and potential cost savings. Our mistake was trusting the sales person I guess). The neighborhood we live in is wooded in some areas so we never expected to earn money from the system rather wanted the security of not having to worry when we lost power (82 year old Mom shares our home so needed a reliable heat source no matter what the weather) and were hoping the system would pay for itself until the home improvement loan was repaid. We have given it months now but ($40,000 dollars later) for us it has been a wasted investment, no change in our electric bill, no cost savings that I can see, not even enough to cover the loan payments so still paying for solar panels with zero benefits. The installers were great, the owner tried to "make it right" by installing some extra panels but nothing has changed. Bottom line for us at least is... if there are large trees around you don't waste your money with solar. We did have trees taken down, however the trees that remain are not on our property so removing additional trees is not an option and even if it was possible we are talking about another $2500 a tree. Yes, the owner of the company offered to install a 2nd battery for us at an out of pocket cost to me of more than $2000 which I could not afford. Although I appreciate the offer it does not change my outcome if I cannot afford it.

We have worked with Ms. Schultz a great deal. As she mentions, upon her first appointment, she explained that she was mainly concerned with keeping power to the home for the reasons she outlined here. Our consultant explained to her then that trees were a concern with her property in regard to production and that he would recommend cutting or trimming. Upon arriving at the home and looking over the property, our installers then identified this as well. She seemed to understand. A while after her original installation, she then expressed concerns about her production and offset of her usage. Even though we had explained the problem with the trees, I reiterated this to her at that time. However, because we pride ourselves in taking care of our customers and I felt it was the right thing to do at the time, I eventually made the decision to add solar panels to her system free of charge. Even with the tree coverage, our monitoring of the system shows that she has gotten roughly between 40% and 60% offset of her electric utility usage over eight of the last twelve months. Even with the low production in the winter months included, we have offset more than 30% of her usage over that same 12 month period. In some of those eight highest months, she produced enough to offset well over the 40-60% but didn’t have enough battery capacity to capture it. The last time I spoke to her about this, I offered her another battery at our cost to capture this extra production. When she had originally reached out to us with offset concerns, she said she would like to have seen around 50% offset in most months. We remain available to work with Ms. Shultz on her concerns.
