So, maybe I'm nuts, but have any of y'all ever paid or had someone try to charge $21,000 for a 12'x16' deck with a 13'x18' aluminum cover? Cause I looked it up, and with parts and labor, $15,000 was the upper limit for the whole thing when I researched it. I definitely feel like this was a major hustle from #americanhome , especially since their evaluators, Matt and Connor, tried to pressure me to make a decision to move forward on the job and finance it through their company right then and then tried to tell me "15-20 min" was the most time they could give me to make a decision because "it's so expensive to come out on these quote calls" and when I wouldn't agree to their 15-20 min and demanded 24 hours, these "contractors" gave me a price that was "only good for 24 hours" and would go up significantly after that. If you're around Knoxville, I strongly advise against working with American Home Improvements. They'll try to fleece you like a shady used car dealer.
