I had a fantastic customer experience at Yawnder in Encinitas. They carry a great selection of the online brands I was most interested in like Helix, Nest, Nolah, and several others I've been wanting to check out. It's tough to find a place where you can actually lay on these brands (the next closest I found was in Orange County!).
You've got to see how it feels before committing to an important purchase like your mattress--where you'll theoretically spend 1/3 of your life for the next several years. You just can't do that online. Yes, do some research and check reviews. But ultimately, you've got to test some out and find the one that works for YOU.
I want to give an extra shout-out to Cimarron, who was sooooo patient with me trying out all of the mattresses, sharing so much knowledge and insight with me along the way. Mostly because of my online research, I ended up purchasing a certain hybrid mattress I won't name here. The new mattress arrived on my porch; and Yawnder took away my old mattress. It was a great mattress, but I tried it out for maybe 40 days or so and decided it just wasn't the perfect fit for me.
Their return/exchange process was easy and no-headaches. Second time around, I chose the Nest Owl Natural Latex organic mattress. I was able to take advantage of some fantastic sale pricing they had that even beat what the manufacturer was offering. The Nest mattress arrived on my porch, and Yawnder came by and took away the first one. I've had my Nest mattress for a couple of months now and I'm loving it.
In conclusion, in my opinion, there is NOTHING BUT ADVANTAGE FOR YOU by going to Yawnder vs. ordering online. You get to actually see, touch, and try the mattress yourself before you buy. You also get expert guidance and service, and someone local you can speak with face to face if you have any issues. Even better, when it comes to price, Yawnder at least matches--and usually beats--the price you get online. Excellent value all the way around. No hesitation to strongly recommend!
I love the Yawnder experience! I was looking for an adjustable mattress and Ben knew EVERYTHING about those. At the end I bought a good one plus a frame and when I wasn't that happy - they helped me exchange it!
And he seems to always be in a good mood and he can write well.
When you need a mattress - go there! Here it is - a command! Yawnder rules!
Wow! I hate mattress shopping almost as much as car shopping. Well, I was SO happy to have found Yawnder. What an absolutely wonderful experience. We had this very nice, knowledgeable man help us. Only later did we find out he was the owner. Ben. No wonder they get such amazing reviews. He did everything he could to make sure we were happy and bought the very best mattress for us. We had an excellent experience with Yawnder in Encinitas. We visited the store to test out mattresses after a disappointing experience with an online-only company. We ended up going three times. The salespeople were attentive and remembered us. They responded to emails and phone calls promptly and never pressured us. We are very happy with the mattress we chose from them. Most importantly, they not only matched the online company's offers but also provided an additional discount. In my opinion, there is no reason to buy a mattress without trying it first, and Yawnder is the best place to do that.
Ben was very communicative and helpful in helping me find a mattress I liked. He was able to get a HSA approval for my bed, and his store had a great selection of comfortable options. For me, a bed is an investment and I wanted to make sure I was picking something I would be very happy with. The staff were knowledgeable and all around a great experience to buying a mattress.
Yawnder provided an amazing experience with expert staff that helped me find the perfect mattresses. They were patient as I tried the different mattresses and not salesy at all. After my purchase they were responsive to my questions and the mattresses showed up as expected. Only thing to keep in mind is that the mattresses come rolled up in boxes and for queen and king mattresses, you need two strong people to carry them and unbox them in your room.

I’ve always trusted the quality and selection from the Yawnder team, and once again, they didn’t disappoint. Even though I live in a different city now, I still wanted to support this family business because I know how carefully they curate everything. The products are top-notch, and it’s clear that they really know their products and take great pride in what they offer. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great mattress from people who genuinely care!
Not worth the cost savings.
Ordered a mattress a week and a half before my move in date. They didn’t even ship it until after I’d moved in, when they finally did it missed its ship date, and now it’s sitting somewhere a state away without even a potential delivery date. Better to eat the increased costs and buy from someplace that can actually handle its order volume in a timely manner.

After trying to shop for a mattress online, we had the good fortune of finding the Yawnder website. We had previously read Ben's blog regarding different mattress types and he's extremely knowledgeable. We thought we wanted a particular mattress, but after trying various ones in the store, we found a different one that was perfect and ended up getting the Yawnder adjustable bed to put it on. The entire process was smooth and easy from start to finish, including the white glove delivery and setup service we added. Could not be happier, and the next mattress and bed will no doubt be from Yawnder also.
My husband broke his neck, and I had to buy a bed which would work for him in the long healing and recovery process. I knew I needed an adjustable frame with a supportive as well as comfortable mattress. I went online and targeted beds I was interested in and discovered Yawnder where I could actually lay down on beds and experience the benefits of different adjustable bed frames, be advised by an expert and determine in real time what I wanted and needed. There are so many choices, considerations, and prices. Yawnder’s owners and Kelton, my sales consultant, listened to me and patiently/competently gave me an array of options with transparent pricing. After becoming intelligently informed and laying down on mattress after mattress, I came to my decision and am exceedingly pleased with my choice. The white glove service took away our old mattress and completely set up the new frame and mattress. The customer service was impeccable. I also needed the bed/mattress expeditiously for my husband’s discharge from rehab. Everything was flawlessly set up in time for his arrival home. Yawnder’s whole process took out all the stress and made the process simple. I need another bed and frame and will look no further than Yawnder. I recommend Yawnder without reservation.
