I can't say enough positive remarks about working with Kathryn Festen as my realtor. From the very first moment I was connected through her via a recommendation, she was on top of everything and so attentive to my questions and desires in purchasing my first home. She is honest and never makes you feel like she's just trying to get a sale - she cares about finding the right home for YOU while being realistic about the current market. I recently sold my home after living in it for almost 24 years. To say I was nervous about the whole selling process was an understatement. I was introduced to Amy Foote and her team Foote through a friend's referral. After our initial meeting, I felt relieved that I was working with a professional (not someone who is in real estate part time). Throughout the selling process, Amy was always updating me, explaining each step (something I appreciated). As we approached the closing date, the unthinkable happened, the buyers financing fell through. Almost immediately, Amy stepped up and was able to guide the buyer's realtor through the process to get the buyer re-qualified. Without Amy's help, I truly believe the whole deal would have fallen apart.

I really enjoyed working with Amy Foote. She is the consummate professional. I hired Amy to help me sale my home. Upon my first one on one meeting with Amy my first impressions were her professionalism, and how well she understood the current market trends in my area. She reassured me numerous times my home would sell quickly. To assist with getting the most money out of the home she put me in contact with a home stager (Sheila) who was fabulous in her suggestions of how best to show the house which I did my best to follow. Another thing that impressed me was her communication from start to finish. I have known friends and family who have worked with other realtors and barely heard from them after they signed the contract. I felt once I signed with Amy, I became part of her team, and she took me under her wing and helped educate me in the process of selling a home. Her weekly status updates and reach outs when she needed more information for me made me feel I was included in the process from start to finish. She responded timely to answer all my questions and eased my worries and concerns throughout the process. I would like to express my gratitude to Amy Foote and the Foote Team in executing the sale of our home in the Dundee area. This was not a normal sale of a house, as we had to make an abrupt decision to move at the beginning of the year and would not be able to personally take care of many small details that were required to make the sale complete.
Being out of State during the sale of the house I had thought would be a very uncomfortable situation, but Amy kept us up to date on everything that was required to be done and all other details that we had to make decisions on. I can honestly say that there were days we did not even remember we had a house for sale out of State because Compass took care of everything for us.
On the first day of our open house, there was an unexpected snow storm that hit the area. Amy called and suggested that we should probably have the driveway, walkway and porch cleared and salted so that perspective buyers would not have to drudge through the snow and to also provide a safe passage up to and in the house. I certainly couldn't personally take care of this, so the Foote Team gave me several contacts for local plowmen that might be able to take care of the property. Phone call were made and a contract signed in time for our open house. This is just one of the many small circumstances that came up that the Foote Team quickly and professionally took care of for us.
Above and beyond, a simple phrase I believe best fits the Foote Team at Compass. Thank you again Amy!
Oh yea, the House remained on the market for only a couple days in a very competitive market. Quick sale with a price we were very happy with. There is no reason to look anywhere else but Team Foote if you are looking to sell your house.

Working with the Foote Team at compass was like striking oil in your back yard for me and my wife. We bought our home in the summer of 2023, and the market was almost nonexistent. I honestly believe had we not found Amy, we would not have the home of our dreams. Amy and her team were incredibly knowledgeable in pretty much every aspect with the home purchasing possess. She even steered me away when she felt like there was a concern about one home we looked at. From that point forward my Wife and I looked at her as a family friend more than a realtor. My wife and I actually talked about being bummed out once we closed on the house that we wouldn't get to Work with Amy anymore. lol.
