My time at the Xochipilli Retreat in Cancún was truly life-changing. I arrived carrying a lot of emotional weight, fear, unanswered questions—and left with a sense of clarity, connection, peace and happiness I didn’t think was possible!
From the moment I stepped onto the sacred grounds, I felt the energy shift. The jungle setting and the warmth of everyone there created a space where I could finally let go. Each ceremony was unique and deeply personal. The Ayahuasca medicine guided me through both darkness and light—helping me face fears I didn’t even realize were inside me. It wasn’t easy, but it was real.
The facilitators, especially Arturo held space with such grace and integrity. Their presence made me feel safe, supported, and seen, even in my most vulnerable moments. Every element—the temazcal, the fire ceremony, the music, the integration circles—was intentionally designed to help us heal and reconnect with ourselves.
I came back home grounded—as a woman, mother, wife, and business owner —with a renewed sense of purpose and love for life.
If you’re considering this retreat, come with an open heart and no expectations. This experience is not a vacation; it’s a journey inward. But if you’re ready to release what no longer serves you and rediscover your power, this is the place.
Forever grateful to the Xochipilli family, Alicia, Lore, Arturo, Angel, David for guiding me through this chapter of rebirth and dealing with me in my most vulnerable moments 🪶

This was the best experience of my life. I will be a regular. Love, peace, and patience will surround you. Leave "yourself" at home, bring only your heart and love. Don't be afraid to learn who you are. If you are confused, be patient, it will become clear. Maybe not the first time, but trust me, it becomes clear.
Everyone who puts on the ceremony are professionals. Watch, listen, and learn. The staff is amazing. The facility is gorgeous.
Thanks to all the teachers and students that where on this journey with me. You are all in my heart forever!
Like many others may say, words cannot describe the experience I had here. “Service” cannot encompass the length that the staff goes to incorporate you into their family. The beautiful souls that serve here are a gift to humanity. They were truly called to this work and I’m so grateful that they answered the call. I did not want to leave will certainly be back. If you’re looking for a place to take your first journey, look no further. You have found it. The medicine may have called to me, but Xochipilli found me. I saw things that that are usually heard and felt things that are usually seen. All senses are awakened here. I left feeling like I had just been born. This place will be with me forever not just in this life, but in the next. All gratitude to the grandmother for bringing me here.
I could not express my gratitude for my experience at Xochipilli in Cancun, Aya De La Vid. My appreciation and love for everyone there grew from when I arrived, from Tony to Arturo to his Familia. I felt safe and cared for. You can feel the team's passion and love for what they do, from the beautiful ceremonies to the delicious food made with love. Arturo is highly devoted to his work and is a true master of his art. I wish it did not take me 41 years to find this place. While living my life in deep depression and darkness, I knew this was something I needed to do, and I researched for a while before choosing a location; this place felt perfect. Being a user of multiple medicines and psychotherapy for over 12 years, I gained more insight and healing in one week than in the past 12 years. I am honored and appreciative that I had the means and opportunity to share this experience with many wonderful people. The people you share this experience with start as strangers but end as family. I recommend this place to everyone; the work done here is not for the faint of heart; you must be ready and dedicated to the process and respect the culture and ceremonies. The ceremonies are indescribable; the facilitators are talented (singing, playing instruments, and dancing). David, Lorena, Gabi, Esther, Luis, Jose, and David (El Professor) and caring that they pour everything they have into everything they do, and it shows. This experience was one of a lifetime and one I will never forget, I owe them my life, and I can say that if it weren't for them, I would not be here now. Simply put, you cannot give what you do not have or get what you do not provide. ~Chikowa Group
