I had a great experience with Xcaliber Dog Training and can’t say enough good things about the 3‑week program. From the start, Mitchell was incredibly easy to work with and very communicative. He sent frequent updates, explained what they were working on, and always took the time to answer any questions I had, which made a huge difference for me. River had a rough start to the program and struggled with nerves throughout the process, so I was a little worried to start. Mitchell’s patience was truly incredible. He never rushed things, adjusted the training as needed, and stayed calm and encouraging the entire time. That alone made me feel confident I had my dog in the right hands. Despite the rough start, I started seeing positive changes in as early as the second update he sent, and the progress over just a few weeks was impressive. The final lessons at the end of the 3 weeks were extremely thorough and really helped everything come together. Mitchell made sure I understood not just what to do, but why it works, which gave me a lot of confidence continuing the training at home. I also want to give a shoutout to Michael as well who was great! In the video he sent he was always very thorough, knowledgeable and patient with my dogs training. Overall, the change in my dog has been amazing, especially considering where we started. This program was absolutely worth it, and I would highly recommend Mitchell and Xcaliber Dog Training to anyone looking for real results and trainers who truly care.

We couldn’t be happier -Mitch is an excellent trainer-He gave us all the tools and guidance we could possibly need -we are so grateful and just so impressed with our dog’s behavior which went from out of control to well behaved in a matter of weeks -we highly recommend the 3 week program it is worth every penny and you will be blown away by your dogs progress -Mitch is a total professional and we greatly appreciated that also -we tried 3 other trainers and they didn’t even come close to the level of training we experienced with Mitch -He’s awesome !!

Professional grade training Xcaliber did the most incredible job with our 1 1/2 yr old lab -he went from being a terror into the most well behaved dog we have ever owned -such a professional in every sense and I would highly recommend them -we are just blown away by what 3 weeks of training did not only for us but our dog as well -you won’t be disappointed-you will be amazed !!!

I saw such an improvement with my girls listening and obeying! Mitchell and Michael are great and very personable. I love getting Update videos. My pit mix was only 6 months old when doing her training so she was still pretty young and pretty stubborn/strong willed but keeping her accountable for her actions helped so much! The way they were able to teach me was also incredibly helpful.

I highly recommend Xcaliber Dog Training! They worked with my two dogs, and it has made such a difference! I have two females who would fight from time to time; it was just enough that we needed to keep them separated. One would pee every time she was mildly startled as well. After going through training with Xcaliber Dog Training, my dogs are able to be around each other without issue. They respond so much better when given a command. And I have yet to have to clean up dog pee from a nervous dog. This is worth every penny, and I will be using Xcaliber Dog Training for any future dogs I get for training and boarding.

The definition of professionalism. Veteran owned business that helped a guy at the end of his rope with his dog. He had my Jo for 3 weeks and over that time I received almost daily updates and videos of her training and then working with her. She is truly a whole different dog now. Best decision i made signing up my 14 month, 80 lb puppy with Mitcell's 3 week training program. Addressed all my training requests, no jumping on people, stay, sit, wait, "no" & listening to commands. Arlo came back more settled as a dog. Our home is much calmer. I'm enjoying Arlo's playfulness knowing I can apply the training skills Mitchell provided me. Family & friends that knew the over excited puppy Arlo was before & now after the training, just marveled at the positive differences. They are all happy for Arlo & I that we will have many enjoyable years ahead. 😀 🐾 🐾 it's great knowing if we need follow that Mitcell's there for us. We did the 3 week board and train for our 1 year old Belgian Malinois, Alita. She was a very anxious, nervous dog before hand, as she was a rescue. I found Mitchell through a Google search prior to moving to the San Antonio area. He was quick to respond to questions and genuinely enjoys what he does. And he is GOOD at it! Alita is now comfortable in her own skin and confident enough to go on walks and out in public. She is obedient and focused, without sacrificing her goofy personality. We are very happy and excited to have our baby girl happy! I would 110% recommend Xcaliber Dog Training to anyone and everyone! In fact I already recommended them to someone about an hour before posting this! Thank you Mitchell and family for taking care of Alita and we look forward to working with you in the future!

We had a great experience with Mitchell at X Caliber K9, and it has made a wonderful difference for us and our pup Miko. From the beginning, Mitchell’s caring attention to detail and dedication showed in every interaction we shared with him. Mitchell went above and beyond for us. He kept us updated throughout Miko's training with detailed insights that weren’t just informative—it included valuable tips and techniques that we could use at home. It was clear Mitchell genuinely cared about making sure that Miko’s transition back home was smooth and successful. What stood out even more was how well Mitchell communicated with us. His regular updates reassured us that Miko was in great hands, especially at the beginning! We were so nervous that Miko would not respond well, but throughout his training, we were proven Miko had it in him to learn! After the training, Miko returned a different dog—in the best way possible. He seemed to think through his actions and make better choices, even if old habits tried to sneak back in. His understanding of obedience commands has improved, and he is showing us he is more independent when not focusing on him. Overall, our time with Mitchell at X Caliber K9 was the right choice. I rarely do reviews but I’ll leave my honest feedback for anyone interested in Xcaliber. We met the owner, Mitchell, 7 months back not long after we got our German Shepherd puppy. Although we got her from a well established breeder that we’d gotten a dog from a decade ago, this pup had a completely different personality. I am certainly no dog trainer, but I am also not a complete stranger to training either. From the moment we got our young pup we could tell she had issues beyond regular puppy biting. I don’t think it was a flaw necessarily, she just had a habit of using her mouth to communicate beyond what is appropriate. She also had a habit of running from us as if everything was a game and was fixated on our cats as prey. No matter what correction method we used, she looked at us and laughed inside (or so it appeared). As our girl approached 9 months, the habits were becoming perminant traits. When we first learned about Xcaliber, we had the owner come out for a few lessons. Ultimately we decided to go with a 3-week board and train program and she is now a different dog. We were very apprehensive about sending her away for a few weeks and her not bonding with our family when she returned, but Mitchell assured us that would not be the case (he was right). One thing that was paramount for us was that she be trained in an ethical way and we were happy to see Mitchell’s standards aligned with ours. Mitchell would send us update videos that eased our mind knowing she was getting daily and sometimes hourly training. Fast forward 3 weeks and our pup is now home! On a scale of 1-10, 1 being the poorest performance, her obedience went from a 3 to an 8. Her biting went from a 1 to a 9. And she no longer runs from us as if everything is a game. Being 100% honest, she still loves to stalk the cats but at least now she is manageable with them. I didn’t expect Mitchell to reverse 150 years of German Shepherd DNA and think the dog would have a tea party with the cats after a 3 week training. What I needed from him was a manageable, obedient, family dog that quickly realized her problem behaviors were no longer acceptable and that is exactly what he gave us. We told ourselves we could train her but I don’t know that we could have acheived this level without Mitchell. Did we want to pay for her to be trained, no. Was it worth the money to have Mitchell train her, absolutely.Take this info as you will, all I can say is I’d rather pay a little now than a lot later. I leave you with these final images….one photo is what our pup did to our couch when left alone for 10 minutes at 10 months old, the next photo is her when she returned from Xcaliber training. You be the judge and best of luck.

XCALIBER has been a game-changer for Buddy. Three weeks ago he was sixty pounds of unbridled energy eager to chase deer and jump up on any everyone. Now he's gentle and obedient -- while still being his playful, energetic self. Mitchell is an incredible trainer with a wealth of knowledge and experience. I recommend him highly!

Xcaliber trained my 11month shihtzu and she has come back a new pup! Before she would be too excited and run out the front door and loved to jump on people. After training with them she understands boundaries and knows how to stay in her place area on command. They would also send updates on her training process. Mitchell is awesome!😊
