Platinum experience on the Golden Circle Tour We were on a cruise and decided to book this excursion on our own as we were in port over night (no worries about missing the ship if something happened). Well, something happened….disembarkation from the ship was a nightmare ….1.5 hours to clear a new customs procedure!! Our tour guides were great and waited over 1 hour for all guests to disembark to start the tour. The Golden Circle tour is fabulous and our tour guides Sverrir and Eshan were very informative and helpful. My 84 year old mother was traveling with us and Sverrir and Eshan went above and beyond to assist her and us at each stop. I highly recommend Arctic Travel Tours

Did two tours, enjoyed both! We took both the South Coast Tour and the Golden Circle Tour with this operator. Pickup at our spot for both was as promised as was drop off. The tours were very good. We spent about as much time on the buses as we did at the sights. The buses were small as was promised and the guides very knowledgeable. Our guides were Wendy for the South Coast and Erla for the Golden Circle. Both were friendly and helpful. We have no problem recommending this operator!!

A great day! What a fantastic experience. We went with Paul, and he kept up an intriguing running commentary about all kinds of things - the landscape, the history, cultural insights and even the prevalence of swimming pools! All with a sense of humour and a teasing sense of irony. Iceland but not Disneyland. The sights and scenery were out of this world. Every turn of the road brought a view better than the last. Highly recommended.

Unresponsive tour operator. I booked this tour months before knowing our cruise ship’s arrival time. I informed the operator of our ship so they could track any changes. One minute before the cancellation period they sent an email reminder, I saw the message an hour later. It stated the pickup time was 9:00 but our ship wasn’t docking until 10:00. I sent a message but they never responded. I had to make an international call to the operator as we arrived into Reykjavik to get an answer. The tour had indeed left at 9:00. The operator failed to inform me of the discrepancy in a timely manner. They did however rebook us to a different, later tour but would not refund the cost difference for this cheaper tour. On the plus side, our tour guide was excellent. It wasn’t the experience we wanted but we managed to salvage our port time here, although with additional expense.

Excellent tour considering we had to rebook. Overall this was a very good tour, you just don’t get to spend much time at the site locations. Our original tour left before our ship arrived in port and the operator did not reach out to us concerning the timing. It took an international phone call from me to finally reach them. They did offer to rebook us to this tour but would not refund the price difference for this cheaper, shorter tour. Our tour guide, Edgar, was exceptional. He was very informative without being academic, eagerly answered our questions about the sites and life in Iceland. He even managed to allow us some extra time at a few stops.

A taste of wonder A fantastic taste of Iceland's natural wonders. Our driver/guide Indra was friendly, and knowledgeable and drove safely. We had been a bit worried about spending all day in a minivan but in fact there was plenty of time and opportunity for exploring. Would definitely recommend.

Great tour of South Coast! Highly recommend this tour! Pick up was on time at bus stop # 17 Maritime Museum (in lieu of closed bus stop #15). Great communication with tour company. Tour guide was not Icelandic native, but she was clear and had excellent and interesting info about Iceland and what we were seeing. Day flew by - saw everything on the itinerary. Not enough time to touch glacier unless you ran over a rocky path but view was nice. Definitely wear waterproof boots, raincoats and rain pants if you want to walk behind waterfall - super view but you'll get wet! Tour guide told us about a hidden waterfall there which was also magnificent.

first Iceland trip We did the Golden Circle tour in January and it was honestly one of the highlights of our trip to Iceland. The scenery was incredible, and the tour was very well paced with a good amount of time at each stop. We never felt rushed and had plenty of time to take in the views, explore, and get photos. The only negative was the pickup point, which was quite chaotic. There were lots of buses and people, and we didn't receive much information beforehand about what the bus would look like or what name would be displayed on the front. It made finding the correct bus a little stressful. Apart from that, the whole experience was fantastic. Everything ran smoothly once we got on board, and the sights were absolutely breathtaking. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Iceland. An unforgettable day and well deserving of 5 stars!

Highly recommend this tour to see Golden Circle! Highly recommend Greta as your tour guide. Pickup was on time at bus stop #17 Maritime Museum (in lieu of closed bus stop #15). Don't sit in back of mini bus if you're tall - seats don't recline. We were last picked up so didn't get to choose our seats. Tour itself was great - day flew by. Saw everything in itinerary plus some extras - stops for views, fed Icelandic horses, tomato farm & got ice cream at a dairy farm, Plenty of bathroom stops. Great stories from Icelandic native Greta. Pack rain gear if you want to walk all the way down to the waterfall.
