Pedro was a wonderful tour guide- he went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful day and we definitely did! This was our first private tour and it was so nice to be able to go at our own pace and see what we wanted to. We learned so much about the history of the castles, town of Sintra, and Portugal- and never once had to pull out our phones to figure out where to go or what we were looking at. We also got more family photos in one day than we probably have combined over the years, all with amazing scenery! Pedro also took us to a wonderful lunch spot- not the typical tourist trap. The entire experience from the booking process until the end of our tour day in Sintra was both smooth and incredible! My fiancée and I booked a private tuktuk tour for just the two of us. During the booking process, they helped us choose which attractions we should do based on our personal interests, as well as realistic timelines (it would have been so hard to comprehend just how big and complicated Sintra was until we were there). But most of all, our tour guide, Vera, was the icing on top of the cake! Not only was she knowledgeable, personable, and made us feel comfortable throughout the entire day, but she was also a fantastic photographer for us! I’m not sure there are words to describe the experience. This was our fifth full day tour over the last three years and I have brought family and friends to see the true reality and beauty of Portugal and Daniel Ponce Mix Portugal come alive. Yes, this 3 your Americans. And my 80 year-old husband. What a joy so much knowledge so much fun the young ones are still talking about all the fun. They saw all the sites over and over again. They really had no idea how great this country is one of the highlights was the wine tour. Of course the palace yet good thing they talk about the most is the friendship the laughter the joy that was all included in the tour absolutely a trip for their lifetime!

We took the all inclusive full day tour and Daniel was our guide. What a great day! Everything was perfect from the pickup to the dropoff in Cascais. Daniel took us to many places and he is a wealth of information. We saw castles, inside and out with a beautiful drive through Sintra. Lunch was amazing and at the end we were taken for a beautiful ride along the coast with several stops. Daniel himself was so engaging and so much fun. We enjoyed our tour very much & were overwhelmed by all the spectacular sights! We visited the Moorish Castle & its energetic hike and outstanding views. Then proceeded to the Pena Palace for an outside tour & photo ops. Next came lunch where we sampled several local dishes & left full and ready for our walk to Quinta da Regaleira. We were charmed by the gardens and walking the well and exploring the beautiful castle. Thanks to Victor for all the history and little extras along the way. Tour guide extraordinaire! Thank you to Bruno for picking us up at our hotel and then getting us back safely after a long day. Five friends traveling together and we thoroughly enjoyed our day. My husband and I had an all-day tour with Vera. It was an excellent way to kick off our honeymoon in Portugal. Everywhere we went people were envious and trying to sneakily listen in. I heard some of the other guides around speaking to their groups and Vera’s information was by far more in-depth. Also, she knew all of the best spots to take photos of us, we are not good at remembering to do that so we also liked that. Are moms are happy to have pictures of us haha
We went to the Moorish Castle, Quinta de Regaliera, Azenhas do Mar, lunch, then drove along the coast to Cascais. We also opted to have a driver pick us up at our accommodation and 9 pm ride back from Cascais to Lisbon, which we very much recommend. For our time in Cascais, we sat by the beach for a bit and then had excellent drinks from O’culto.

Fabulous trip with knowledgeable, kind, and thoughtful guide! Memorable Sintra adventure was the highlight of our visit to Lisbon! Our driver, António, to & from Sintra back to Lisbon was prompt, informative, entertaining, and an island of calm amid the morning rush-hour traffic. And he promptly and safely returned us to our doorstep when we were too tired to remember the way home!
Our guide and expert tuk-tuk driver in Sintra was the courageous Claudia C! She expertly squeezed her vehicle into prime parking spots that accommodated our mobility challenges, and thoughtfully steered us from one excellent adventure to the next.
