Stayed at Fairydale lodge as an alternative to a hotel in York city. Would highly recommend. Peaceful area with countryside views. The lodge itself was exactly as advertised more than enough room for 4 people with a full set of amenities. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, met us in check in to make getting in the lodge easy and reassured that they were on site to help with anything we needed. 5 star stay.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely log cabin out in the countryside. The location was perfect—peaceful, relaxing, and surrounded by plenty of beautiful walks. The nearby village was friendly and welcoming, and we were close enough to York to enjoy a visit there too.Our host, Ruth, was fantastic. She kept in touch throughout our stay and was so helpful whenever we needed anything. We were celebrating my daughter’s birthday, and the cabin made the perfect place for a calm, relaxing getaway.We had an amazing time and would happily stay again. Highly recommend! 🌟

Just a Beautiful Treehouse lodge peace, quiet and relaxing perfect
We would definitely recommend this beautiful Treehouse lodge. From arriving and seeing the Treehouse all lite up with the outside lights to leaving we couldn't of ask for anymore just beautiful & quiet 💜 A special thank you to Ste for been so helpful nothing was to much trouble for him. Very Clean, tidy with everything you need for your stay and the lovely welcome gifts where a nice gesture thank you 🥰 Great base for going to York or shopping at shopping outlet or eating out at the local village pub & dreamy Garden. Or just chilling in the Hot tub Thank you to all the team 😎🥰💜
Incredible lodges in a wonderfully quiet location. The welcome was superb (and very funny). The lodge has everything, the village is beautiful. Sit in the hot tub and enjoy the quiet

What an absolute hidden gem we stayed in the delightful treehouse it was immaculately decorated small and quirky but everything you needed we had a lovely weekend in and out of the hot tub admiring the country views would highly recommend this place the staff are lovely and this place is idyllic

What an absolute hidden gem we stayed in the fantastic treehouse it was immaculate, decorated really lovely , very cosy with everything you needed. we had a lovely weekend in and out of the hot tub admiring the countryside views would highly recommend this place lovely and welcoming staff and very friendly would highly recommend this place it’s absolutely idyllic

Idyllic weekend break
Wow. We've just had a lovely weekend in Lilydale and it was perfect in every way. We received a warm, informative (and very funny) welcome with some tips for local trips. The lodge itself has everything you could need, and is modern and very clean. We loved the hot tub (very little noise pollution and virtually no noise) and got full use of it. It was especially helpful to get out of the shower and step in to the hot tub (and vice versa). The site is secluded and the lodges are well spaced for privacy. The village is a short walk and is very picturesque. We were greeted by everyone and loved the shop and pub (those desserts!! Wow). We also visited the church to see the famous floor tiles. There are loads of places within a short drive or you can just stay in the lodge and enjoy the quiet. Two other things: we woke to the chickens staring in the windows every morning. Very funny; and we have converted to the Naked Paper (Sprout) toilet roll after using it. Just perfect. Can't wait to return

Relaxing break in a characterful village.
Our 4th visit to Wolds Edge, 3rd time in Deepdale Lodge.We have also enjoyed a week in the Tree House. The location is set on the edge of the lovely peaceful village of Bishop Wilton in the Yorkshire Wolds and has a well stock community shop and a great pub - The Fleece Inn, both are a short stroll away from the lodges. The lodges are set in a peaceful woodland setting and are well equipped and spotlessly clean, big thank you to Ste who looks after the site.Lots to see and do in the area as well as the lovely walks in the Yorkshire Wolds, maps available in the lodge. Pickering home of the North York Moor Railway is about an hours drive away from Bishop Wilton if you fancy a trip on a steam train into Grosmont or Whitby. Castle Howard is another favourite place to visit as well as 2 lovely National Trust properties at Beningbrough Hall and Nunnington Hall . Will definitely be going back again next year, still more walks and places to discover. Thank you to Ruth Ste and Christine for making us feel so welcome

Beautiful location. Surrounded by nature, peaceful and quiet. Great lodge and facilities within easy reach of york. Nearby Pocklington a lovely place to visit. Enjoyed our stay and thank you to the mabels for our eggs. Would definitely recommend.

Absolute stunning location with peace and tranquility. The treehouse is a must indeed and definitely delivered a warm welcoming weekend away. Being able to pick fresh eggs 🥚 on site for breakfast was the icing on the cake and I highly recommend wolds edge 🐇 🐿️ 🌲 xx

What an awesome weekend we've had.The snug hut is very comfortable and had everything we needed.There's a small TV and dvds, although we didn't use it.A comfortable double bed and a bunk bed above if you want to bring a child.A fridge, a toaster that can cook eggs (witchcraft, I tell you), microwave, kettle, wood burner and more.Outside there's a sitting area with fire pit and BBQ.It's so quiet and peaceful.Chickens (Mabel, Mabel and Mabel) roam around and come to visit.In the village there's a local shop, a lovely looking bakery (which we missed) that opens Saturday morning at 10am, scenic walks and a nice friendly pub which served nice drinks and great food.On arrival we had a book with lots of information and a lovely breakfast basket.We have loved it here and will definitely be back.

Superb lodge holiday
We had the best holiday at Wolds Edge - a huge thank you to Ruth & the team Exceptional lodge with everything you need - gorgeous decor and very, very clean. Ideal location for visiting attractions including Castle Howard, Elvington Air Museum, York Dungeons, York designer Outlet and a visit to the shambles - a must for any Harry Potter fan!! Also so many amazing places to visit. Can’t wait to come back to Millpond Lodge and visit York Maze, some coastal areas too. Thanks again. Will be booking for next year
