We had a fabulous time learning to pup SUP with Alex. I was expecting to be swimmimg more than paddling but, despite 6 shakey legs to start with, Im very chuffed that we only fell in once... and it was much easier to get back on the board than expected! Would thoroughly recommend it - thanks Alex!
We had a brilliant 1 to 1 lesson with Alex. Friendly, caring and exceedingly skilled. At all times felt safe and in expert hands. Beautiful setting, amazing to watch the sun go down while paddleboarding for the first time. Alex adapted the situation to my needs so that I could relax and enjoy the evening. I would totally recommend paddle-boarding no matter what your age and definitely Wittering SUP. Thank you Alex and James.
This was my first attempt at SUP and really enjoyed it. Alex , the instructor, was brilliant and felt very safe and confident in her very capable hands.
Paddle-tastic
Was given this as a gift - but would happily have paid for it. There were just 2 of us on a beautiful Monday morning and we were taken out by Alex who proved to be a great coach and good supporter. Scenery was beautiful and we also met a group of escaped terrapins. Would highly recommend this. My wife also did a bit of paddle-board yoga with Alex which she really enjoyed.
A group of us came on a hen do and our SUP session surpassed all expectations. Alex and James patiently got us all out on the water and had us messing around and playing fun games (which eventually mean we also got in the water!). Our session was full of fun and laughter and the hen had a brilliant time. The photos and videos that were also shared with us afterwards were fantastic. It’s a beautiful stretch of river and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves - would come again!
Wittering SUP paddleboarding has been an absolute game-changer for both the cadets and myself! The instructors are fantastic, creating a supportive and fun environment where we've all been able to learn and grow. It's amazing how quickly everyone picked up the basics, and the progress we've seen in our skills is incredible. Beyond just learning to paddleboard, it's boosted our confidence and teamwork. I highly recommend Wittering SUP to anyone looking for a positive and enriching experience!
Spent this summer taking groups of Sea Cadets (aged 10-18) on the water with Wittering SUP. As well as learning to SUP, they've had a fantastic time and all want to come again! The instructors are very professional and are brilliant with our young people!
Myself and partner had a wonderful morning river safari with Alex. She gave us great instruction and advice on all things sup like boards, good routes to try and even tips for paddling with our daughter. She is so lovely and friendly and put us both completely at ease.
The stretch of river we went on is absolutely beautiful and so peaceful, I can’t wait to go out again!

Out 3 generational family group aged from 12 to 81 had a great time with James and Alex. The teaching was excellent and very quickly everyone was standing confidently on their boards. Alex and James have wonderful sense of humour and made it all fun and gave individual guidance and encouragement. We highly recommend Wittering SUP as a great way to learn to paddleboard and have fun. Everyone came off the water with a smile on their faces.
We had a wonderful time with Alex and James - both fab teachers and always helping with tips and games to help us feel more confident and competent. The sesson way exceeded my expectations and now I feel hooked on paddleboarding!
Brilliant way to learn SUP - Alex & James are fab!
We did the River Safari learning to SUP - and had a simply fabulous time. We learnt so much, really developed a confidence on the board through great teaching of the techniques, as well as lots of extra tips. It felt really safe, flexible to the needs of individuals, fun and challenging. Highly recommend this - and having the extra hour on the safari, meant we had time to consolidate our learning and see more of the amazing River Avon.
A group of 4 of us had the paddleboarding experience this morning and each of thought it was fantastic. James' tuition was knowledgeable and patient and he gave us all confidence as we paddled our way through the lovely Worcestershire countryside. We'd all recommend this activity, whether first timers or those with more experience, so have a go, you won't regret it!
Wow! what an amazing experience. Such a beautiful and peaceful location. An incredibly brilliant and friendly coach was really appreciated. Thank you James for your patience and support. Can't believe I actually managed to stand up! We thoroughly enjoyed it!
I need some adaptations to make it easier to paddleboard as I have cerebral palsy. James and Alex researched it and ordered what was needed to get me paddleboarding and I had a fab time. I wish more places were this inclusive and open minded!
