When our technician arrived, your heat pump system was in a high-pressure lockout condition with no heating or cooling operation. After resetting and testing the system in both heating and air conditioning modes, additional diagnostics showed refrigerant readings and performance issues pointing to a failed indoor TXV (thermal expansion valve). Our technician documented refrigerant pressures, superheat, subcooling, and compressor amperage readings to properly confirm the diagnosis before recommending repairs.

Because this was more than a basic air conditioning repair or quick reset, the estimate reflected the labor and components required to correctly repair the HVAC system and restore reliable operation. As discussed on site, the diagnostic charge would also have been applied toward the repair cost if you chose to move forward.
