A 5 star review does not do justice to the quality of work done by Katie with Wildflower Interiors, nor does it do justice to the amount of time, money, energy and likely tears she saved with our project completely renovating a 2400sq ft 1910s home in Issaquah. We interviewed several other full service shops but didn't love the business model that most worked under - very high fees, purchase solely through them, high mark ups, limited actual face time - and decided on Katie and Wildflower Interiors after meeting with her because I knew that she was someone I could spend time with and her vision of what our house could become jived with what we were looking for. She far, FAR exceeded our expectations. We ended up utilizing her entire suite of services with space planning, construction administration, material selections, paint, tile, flooring, curtains, rugs - it goes in a house she helped us pick it out! She presented multiple visions for kitchen, living, and bath spaces based on our Pinterest boards helping us form a cohesive full home design. She visited multiple slab yards, custom cabinet makers, lighting shops, and tile shops with us. Our contractor continually commented that she was much more available and organized than he is used to during the construction administration portion of the project. She created detailed tile, paint, plumbing, hardware, and lighting schedules for our subs and communicating and troubleshooting any and all issues that arose. Katie is not afraid of difficult conversations on behalf of a homeowner, yet she is also so very kind and thoughtful to everyone she comes into contact with. For us as homeowners, she created multiple products along the way including a detailed vision board PDFs, a spreadsheet I relied on for choosing, tracking and delivery for every single purchase, a living document of to-dos, changes and conversations we had for us to ensure everyone was on the same page and nothing slipped through the cracks. Now that we are on the other side I'm so thankful to have these references so we can use it for warranty or other future questions. Katie is extremely detail oriented and there was never any doubt about things slipping through the cracks. She is incredibly skilled at sourcing items and giving 3-5 (or many more if needed!!) options to choose from helping to lessen the overwhelming nature of a project this size. We never felt railroaded or disregarded by her when we felt strongly about a design idea. Even when I waffled with decisions, Katie was gracious with me only to usually land on what she suggested in the first place lol. We are in the final furniture selections phase of our last rooms right now and I'm so thankful she has let me take time to be in our new space and not rush any decisions on the final big ticket items. She is a talented designer but maybe even more importantly for a big project like this, she is an excellent communicator / therapist and truly an amazing human. If you are looking for someone who can help you turn your home into a truly special space, with no details overlooked, look no further!
