There were some things that happened outside of the owners control and I appreciate that they drove to my apartment to give me my cake after it wasn’t at the shop when I went to pick it up, and gave me half off. Either way, the writing on this cake is disappointing.

Thankyou for your permanent and public review. The things that happened that were out of our control was a car accident involving our pastry chef and delivery driver. Regardless of how shaken up we were we came back to our kitchen and made sure you received your order. You are right, not only did we bring it directly to your door but we also (as you mentioned) gave you a %50 discount. In regards to the writing, our instructions were that it was to be gender neutral. We are so sorry that this was not to your liking and you feel it necessary to share with the world your 3 star review of us.

We loved working with Gina for our wedding cake! From the moment we stepped foot into Wild Flour for our tasting she made us feel like we were at home. She would not rest to make sure we tried every option that we wanted to find not just one but three perfect cake options that captured our day. Our wedding cake was not only moist and delicious but truly BEAUTIFUL!! Gina was able to make some nut free and gluten free cake slices for family members with allergies. We cannot thank you enough Gina for making our day so sweet!!
Gina made a wonderful gluten-free cake for a birthday celebration earlier this month, and was an absolute delight to communicate with. Amazing beautiful shop! Gina is an absolute gem for the neighborhood. Her expertise comes from generations of Italian pastry chefs and understanding good ingredients. She even does vegan croissants and gluten free cheesecakes!
We loved working with Gina at Wild Flour on our wedding cake -- the tasting was fun and informative, the process was very easy, the cake turned out GORGEOUS, and most importantly, it was really really really tasty. Gina converted me from a wedding cake skeptic to a wedding cake BELIEVER. People were all abuzz about it, and even asking for Wild Flour's contact so they could get the same exact cake made. We did a combo of her champagne vanilla and champagne dark chocolate, then an assortment of other tasty goodies. The cake was definitely one of the highlights of our wedding, and we're so grateful Gina sent our guests off so sweetly.
Gina and the team at Wildflour absolutely knocked our request out of the park. Not only did they nail the cake aesthetically, it tasted amazing and was produced in a timely fashion! Would gladly recommend Wildflour and will use again for our custom cake needs.
Gina was a no-show the day of my event.
I ordered custom cupcakes for a birthday party and requested delivery to the party location, which I paid extra for. Prior to the event everything was confirmed and all the details finalized in the invoice (total was ~$270), and I paid the 50% deposit.
The day of the event I noticed the delivery was running a little late, and tried to message Gina to ask where the cupcakes were. I received no communication whatsoever, Gina was not responding to email, phone, or instagram dms. I never received the cupcakes, which were supposed to be the highlight of the party.
It was such a crushing disappointment, I was so excited about these cupcakes and I was telling all my friends about it, only to be ghosted by Gina the day of the event. This is absolutely no way to run a business.
Please think twice about ordering from here, this business is extremely unreliable.
Update: Gina said there was "confusion" around scheduling, which doesn't make sense since the date, time, and location were all written correctly on the invoice. She offered a free pie and $50 gift card but said I would have to pick it up myself the Tuesday before Thanksgiving (during the work day, when I'm unavailable). The service here is a joke.

We are humans, we all are at the end of the day. You were immediately refunded and offered a $50 gift certificate and a $50 valued hoilday pie that can be obtained during our normal working hours.

WildFlour is such a neighborhood gem. We love Gina's homemade pastries and sandwiches. And now, we also love her wedding cakes!
Gina made the wedding cake of our dreams! Gina was so helpful and responsive throughout the whole process. At our tasting, we had difficulty choosing between cake flavors and buttercream options. We ended up choosing a crowd favorite for the actual wedding cake (lemon cake with lemon curd and honey lavender buttercream). Gina suggested making us 2 mini cakes with our individual favorite flavor combinations (vanilla bean cake with blackberry preserves and salted bourbon buttercream + vanilla champagne cake with cherry preserves and almond buttercream). Best idea ever. On our wedding night, we ate our personal cakes while resting our feet after dancing the night away! We're planning to get mini cakes each year for our anniversary.
My husband and I were so happy to find WildFlour in LIC a few months before our wedding! We were initially on the fence about getting a wedding cake, but as soon as we met Gina for our tasting, we knew we needed to have a WildFlour cake.
We loved the unique, modern, and (most importantly) delicious cake/frosting options - it was hard to choose, but we ended up doing a champagne vanilla cake with champagne & honey lavender buttercream for our wedding cake. (For what it’s worth, my husband is not a cake/dessert person, but he loved the WildFlour cakes. His direct quote: “Best cake I have ever had”)
Leading up to our wedding, Gina was super responsive and accommodating with a couple of changes we wanted to make. On the day of our wedding, Gina coordinated her delivery with my florist so that she could decorate the cake with fresh flowers. The end result was beautiful and the cake was incredible! (In fact, we ended up eating the top tier of our cake the day after our wedding because there was no way we could wait a year.)
We are so happy to have Gina in LIC and will look forward to ordering many more desserts from her in the near future!
I attended one of Wildflour's cake decorating classes and it was absolutely amazing. It was reasonably priced and I walked out with an understanding of how beautiful cakes are created but also how to decorate a cake! Gina was amazing and it was the perfect type of teaching that I would hope for. The environment was fun, creative, and although baking was a science, it was incredibly easygoing. Definitely recommend!
Ordered cupcakes for My husbands birthday to pick up between 4:55-5:05. Was charged on my credit card but when I arrived they were closed! Incredibly frustrating- will not be going back.

Hi Julia! We close at 4pm daily. This is visible on our Google page. The error is with DoorDash. We have contacted them and complained on your behalf. They will be issuing a refund right away. Please come see us or order during our operating hours.
