My sister and I had a very pleasant experience in December at Wetsuit Warehouse.
We were greeted by the owner who was super friendly and proceeded to ask where we were from etc. He remembered us and our details everytime we visited the store. The floor staff were super friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back if the opportunity arises again.
The shop owner or employee was aggressive and verbally abusive after saying I wanted to buy a second hand wetsuit and not a new one for R2000 (just personal preference). He proceeded to tell me to leave the store after indicating that I had an attitude with him after making a joke about not wanting to buy a new wetsuit. I’m not sure if I said or did anything to offend the owner but I certainly found it to be overly aggressive and unwarranted, specially because I was ready to spend some money on other snorkelling equipment and showed no signs myself of being confrontational.
Horrible aftersales service.
In reply to your explanation. As I indicated at the time, at no time did she walk around the village. So took five paces from her chair in Sirocco on the terrace to show me the shoes. The soles were not worn, there was hardly any “dirt” on the underside of the soles. Nothing a damp cloth would not have solved, if even needed. When you try on shoes in the store the white soles will inevitably show some evidence as well.

I am very sorry that you feel that way. We pride ourselves on all our service, and when your daughter returned the first time to change her shoes because she felt that they were to big, we very happily exchanged them for a smaller pair. I am sure you will agree that up until that point you were very happy with our wonderful service. Unfortunately when your daughter tried to exchange the second pair for a different size, we were unable to accommodate her as she had clearly been walking around our wonderful village while wearing them. I am fairly sure if we had tried to sell you a pair of shoes that a previous client had been walking around the village in, you might have given us an even more scathing revue. We are not only loved for our spectacular range of footwear but mostly for the great knowledge and service we offer everyone.
Adding to the other reviews here about the sales floor assistant. I believe he may be the owner/manager. Think they called him Jaque. Far from friendly with an agressive in your face sales approach, can NOT call it customer service. From the moment you step in that store you are pounced on and not left alone, checking in on you while changing and constantly in your face. You feel stressed and rushed into a purchase. Left there feeling angry and frustrated. The junior staff are great though and I feel for them.
Just had amazing experience at Wetsuit warehouse. Bought my incredible Orca Wetsuit there about 8 months ago. Noticed today that I had damaged it. Went in for advice and they repaired it for me on the spot. AND they did it for free!! Thank you so much

The first time I tried on the Dakine Cyclone 5.4 was at the Hout bay harbor in a mad rush to get out to Dungeons. Pulling it on I couldn't believe how flexible and comfortable it was for a 5.4. After a quick ski ride out to the break I was in the water at 8am. Dungeons was big and, as usual, tricky. I had a long hard session with a number of heavy falls, as well as managing to get a couple of good paddle and tow waves under my belt.
The hold downs at Dungeons are long and very violent - I had my fair share, and deployed my pull vest twice but the suit held its seals well, letting in very little water.
When I finally got out of the water at 4:30 I was exhausted and sore but still warm!
I've used the suit twice since then, in very different conditions. Both sessions were around two and a half hours, and the suit was an absolute pleasure to wear.
The Dakine Cyclone 5.4 is a great cold water suit, whether you're trying your hand at Dungeons, hunting A frames down the beach or just going for a paddle at the berg.

I was at your shop yesterday (19 January) at around 4pm to purchase a wetsuit. I am a first time buyer and was recommended to use your store as my sister has made a few purchases with you guys and said you guys are good and she has had a good experience with you.
I ended up purchasing my first wetsuit and made an investment of R4000.
What I'd like to give feedback on is my experience with your sales staff. I unfortunately do not have his name. It was an awful experience. It felt like he did not want to be there, and could not even muster a smile from the time I entered to when I left. His body language and tone with me (giving 1 word answers) was shocking. He was unable to provide guidance in a respectable manner. The only reason I continued with the purchase was because my sister said you guys are good.
When I paid for the wetsuit at the counter, the other person helping me was exactly what I would have expected. He was friendly and provided me with useful information in the short space of time.
I spent a lot of money but what I could not shake off after I left our store was how I felt after dealing with your staff member. If he does not have the people skills for the job, then perhaps he is in the wrong job.
