From the very first conversation, it was clear how committed you were to ensuring everything was handled with dignity, compassion, and genuine thoughtfulness. This was the first funeral I have ever had to arrange in the UK, and I felt quite unsure of the process. You guided me through every step with patience, clarity, and kindness. You anticipated what we needed before we even knew to ask, and you always made us feel comforted and supported. Your willingness to go above and beyond for my family—whether it was taking extra time to explain details, accommodating our requests, or simply offering reassurance—made an enormous difference during such a difficult time. Your team mirrored the same level of care: welcoming, respectful, and always attentive. Thanks to all of you, what could have been an overwhelming experience became manageable, and even peaceful, knowing Mum was looked after with such dignity and respect. We couldn’t thank Wells Funeral Services enough for their support throughout the whole process it was impeccable. During the hole process, we felt like we were the most important people to them and it was the familiarity that we thought we’d had known them longer than what we did which stood out to us. Also, as ceremonies go we thought it was perfect. I was unsure to begin with how it would be put together but Nicky took the information I gave her and turned it into something special and unforgettable, we couldn’t ask for better. I would highly recommend them to look after your loved ones when they have passed and give them the best possible send off that exceeds your expectations.

Wells Funeral Services Gave My Father the Farewell He Deserved. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Wells Funeral Services for the exceptional care, professionalism, and compassion they showed during the repatriation and burial of my late father, Andrew Lancelot Statham. Losing a loved one is never easy, and dealing with the practicalities on top of the grief can feel overwhelming. From the very first moment, Rod Major and his team took all of that weight off our shoulders and gave us the reassurance that everything would be handled with the utmost dignity and respect. I have known Rod for many years and have always admired the respect he holds in the industry as well as the kind of person he is. That respect is well earned. His attention to detail, his ability to think of everything, and his deep understanding of what a family needs at such a difficult time are second to none. Rod personally ensured that the repatriation process was completely smooth. He handled all of the necessary administration, which is a complicated and often stressful task, and kept us informed at every stage. Knowing that my father was in safe hands gave us great peace of mind when we needed it most. On the day of the funeral, Wells Funeral Services delivered something truly memorable and moving. Rod’s son led the hearse by walking in front of it with a cane. This small but powerful gesture gave the procession an extra sense of dignity and solemnity that touched everyone present. It reflected the care and thought that went into every single aspect of the arrangements. Nothing was overlooked, and every detail was carried out to perfection. What stood out most throughout the whole process was the combination of professionalism and humanity. At no point did it feel transactional. Rod and his team genuinely cared about us, about my father, and about ensuring the day reflected the respect and love we had for him. Their guidance, sensitivity, and patience helped us through one of the hardest moments of our lives. I cannot recommend Wells Funeral Services highly enough. Funeral Services Review for the Late Sylvia Cross My family and I would like to express our sincere thanks to Rod Major, Nicky Sutton & the team for their care & consideration in the organisation of the funeral of our cherished mum Sylvia Cross. This was a very traumatic time for our family due to the suddenness of the whole situation which Rod & Nicky moved us through with steadfast consideration & benevolence. Always there when required, answering questions & running us through procedures with never faltering kindness & patience. We absolutely loved the wonderful colour photo page in the middle or the order of service programme. It was a fantastic idea and the process of picking the photos to go on that page was a wonderfully unexpected reminiscence of the family memories had by all. The service itself was a wonderful & Nicky was a star. Nicky flowed seamlessly through the service complementing my eulogy & the poem I wrote with the music we requested. It was absolutely the best send-off we could have had for mum. We cannot thank Rod, Nicky, and the team enough. They went the extra mile in everything. Thank you so much and God bless you all.

Wells Funeral Services are fantastic. I can't stress that enough. They were informative, helpful kind, knowledgeable and thorough. They arranged my mum's funeral, exactly to the letter of her specification via Marie Curie, even though it was a slightly unusual burial request. They were quick and efficient. Rod and Nicky guided me through every step of the way. They took their time in explaining pros and cons of different cemeteries, they explained the processes involved, and have made this whole ordeal very manageable, in a way I don't think it would have been without their help.

From the outset when I met Rod, he was kind, considerate and clear in helping me understand what I needed to do, and what he would take care of. Nicky did a great job with the service, and everything went very well on the day. It's an emotional time, and you need people around you who can make the process that little bit easier and more human - Wells Funeral Services certainly do that, and I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

After the very unexpected death of my husband I was at a complete loss of what to do regarding his funeral. I got in touch with Wells Funeral Services and spoke to Rod Major and from the very beginning of our conversation I felt like my husband myself and my daughter were in very safe hands. He and Nicky guided me through the options and made it very easy at such a difficult time with empathy and compassion and also a little bit of lightheartedness which was sorely needed but always very respectful. The day of my husband's funeral came and I can only say how well the Service of Neil's life went and Nicky who took the service got everything I had told her about Neil spot on there wasn't a dry eye in the house but in a good way, everyone commented on what a lovely service it was. I thoroughly recommend Rod and his team they all made a heartbreaking day into a good day to remember and they were always available for questions with regards to everything a funeral consists of. Thank you to everyone at Wells Funeral Services on behalf of myself, my daughter and my husband's family.
