We had an amazing time!! This company was very professional!! The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Chris should be a history teacher, his knowledge of the Islands and history was outstanding. I would definitely recommend this company; especially if it’s your first time and feel like exploring.

Christopher was an amazing tour guide who immersed in the rich history of Guyana 🇬🇾 from the time we boarded the bus in Georgetown, and every step of the way through all of our 5 stops. They participated in every part of the trip and had a blast. As a Guyanese from abroad not visiting Guyana in 14 years, it made me feel proud to learn, visit, and walk through areas I never knew existed, and to experience it in this manner was awesome! I would definitely recommend this tour to any travelers visiting Guyana and to even locals who live there who may not have explored these parts of Guyana before.

From the moment I contacted Wanderlust, they responded immediately and provided me with a detailed itinerary, dates, times and total cost. They made it so easy to navigate as someone who was visiting Guyana for the first time as adult to help me see where my Grandmother and Father's side was from. From pickup at the airport by Renaldo (our new family friend!), to going to Kaieteur Falls, the company was wonderful. Even when a tour I booked was canceled due to not having enough participants, they promptly refunded my money without any hesitation. After reading that the owner Roselyn is person that started her the business 6 years ago, made me very happy to support a woman owned business.
When I plan to return to Guyana I will not hesitate to contact them for any tours. Thanks again! 🇬🇾

I had a terrible experience with this company. I was booked to do the Kaieteur tour with them, 2 months ago. I arranged private transport as well. Fast forward to a week before my departure and they increased the agreed price of both services. When I expressed exasperation that pricing and already been aggres they promptly canceled my tour stating "we have the right to refuse service". While I actually agree with this, their rational was petty - a customer is unhappy when they demand more than the agreed price. In the end it was a good thing. I rebooked on Evergreen and found 2 other people on my trip who had also had a similar experience with Wanderlust. They were rude and unprofessional. Skip these guys and go with Evergreen - their office is on the airport grounds and are a professional organization.
Update: the responder has miss-representated the facts in their response. My pickup location never changed and pricing of the tour and pickup were agreed - can you imagine an airline asking for additional money AFTER a reservation was made and confirmed? Exaperation (their characterization is a gross exaggeration and designed to give the impression of a interaction that did not happen) by customer when terms are unilaterally changed should be expected and was used as an excuse to cancel my booking. It should be noted they gave a different excuse to the other people who also had their booking canceled - I note they did not address this in their response. Rather than simply accept the 1* review as a messup, they decided to missrepresent the situation to defend their poor actions - really? Seriously potential.customers, keep away from them- if you have an issue you will struggle to negotiate with this type of mindset
Or pay by credit card - if needed disputing a charge would be easier than working with them.

For transparency to future guests, we would like to clarify the circumstances surrounding this reservation.
The tour price adjustment was due to a nationwide fuel surcharge increase implemented by the airline, which affected all operators and guests booking during that period. Additionally, the original transportation quote provided was based on a Georgetown pickup location. When the pickup location was changed to outside of Georgetown, the transportation cost was adjusted accordingly.
Our reservation policy requires payment confirmation within 3 business days of a reservation being made due to limited seating and waitlists for Kaieteur Falls tours. In this case, an extension was granted to accommodate the guest; however, requests to pay the day before or on the day of departure were outside of our booking terms.
We did inform this guest that we reserve the right to refuse service after our staff was subjected to disrespectful and inappropriate language. While we welcome feedback and understand frustrations can arise during travel planning, we maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward verbal abuse directed at our team.
We are proud of the reputation we have built through years of hosting travellers from around the world and remain committed to professionalism, transparency, and quality customer service.

After 18+ years away, I finally visited my beautiful home country of Guyana, and taking a tour with Wanderlust Tours was one of the highlights of my trip.
Despite the heavy rain that day, the tour continued smoothly and was absolutely worth it. Our tour guide, Chris, was exceptionally knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, and accommodating. He shared so much rich history, culture, and information about Guyana — even things many of us did not know. His personality made the experience even more enjoyable.

I had the most amazing Mother’s Day experience with Wanderlust Adventures GY on their nature tour to Essequibo! 🌿✨
It was my very first time visiting Essequibo, and it turned out to be such a memorable and refreshing experience. The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and every stop along the way felt peaceful and breathtaking.
What made the trip even more enjoyable was our guide, Chris, who was incredibly informative, patient, and helpful throughout the entire tour. You could really tell they were passionate about the history, nature, and culture of the area, which made the experience even more special.
The bus ride was a bit more bumpy compared to traveling in a car… but it was much more spacious… I had an entire row for myself & I was able to stretch out & sleep on the way back lol
Everything was well organized, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and it was honestly the perfect way to spend Mother’s Day. I’m so grateful for the memories made and would definitely recommend Wanderlust Adventures GY to anyone looking for a fun, relaxing, and unforgettable adventure in Guyana! 💚
