Recently I walked the Pembrokeshire Coast Path with Walk the Trail. Linda and the team are wonderful to deal with, I have done the South West Coast Path with WTT as well, each time you feel you are the only customer, the service is very personalised. The PCP is a hidden gem, I wasn't even aware of it until I did the SWCP with WTT. On my 14 day PCP walk unfortunately the weather stopped me from doing most of 3 days, the other 11 days were glorious, with only 2 heavy showers. The towns and villages along the way are lovely and on quite a few legs there are some great coffee/food stops. On several legs, I felt like I was the luckiest person alive. Linda and the team are extremely aware of any looming danger and I have had various phone calls and emails re inclement weather. One really good feature of WTT is coloured maps with B&B locations then very easy to find. Following the PCP, I did another walk, everything is on an app, so if you lose your phone, you are in trouble! I made a paper copy of all the relevant info and fortunately I didn't lose my phone. I have done many walks in UK and Europe with various companies, all have been great, but WTT is outstanding, and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path really is a hidden gem! Thank you Linda and Mike for another memorable holiday ensuring we enjoyed the thrills and delights of the SWCP.. As always your organisation is first class and your choice of accommodation is brilliant. All the accommodation stops were different, all had their own special charm and excellent quality. At the end of a long days walk, sometimes in inclement weather we know we will have a warm welcome at our destination where we can refresh and recharge. the location of all the stops was superbly placed . Thank you for the extra thought and planning you put into every trip. The baggage transfer works amazingly well. It is so comforting to know you are always a phone call away and you always pick up the phone when we call. We look forward to completing the SWCP it may take another 3 or 4 trips always something special to look forward to. Thank you again. . Best wishes Marion and Rose
We have been using Walk The Trail now every year since 2016, which should serve as a recommendation in its own right. We have completed the SWCP, the Two Moors, and are now walking the Coast-to-Coast with them. Our experience with WTT has been flawless.
This year I had the misfortune to break my ankle coming down from Kidsty Pike and WTT responded brilliantly, arranging for me to be transported between the last two locations by the baggage company, and also sorting out extra accomodation for my wife at short notice when she drove up to collect us. Thoroughly recommended.
Brilliant

In the last year an a half we have covered 5 sections of the SWCP (Minehead to Falmouth) and thoroughly enjoyed it, with every section holding its own surprises, and always with astounding scenery. Walk the Trail have been with us all the way. They made sure all the logistics worked like clockwork: from lovely accomodations (close to the path) with friendly hosts, to efficient taxi transfers and faultless luggage transport. However, their greatest asset is probably their very prompt and personal way of communicating, with unbelievably fast response times and always happy to answer any question and share any relevant information about the particular region. It also gave us the safe feeling that in the unlikely event that should anything go wrong they would be there to assist us. We will certainly book with them again.
Friendly and efficient service. Prompt and sensible responses to enquiries. Any niggles caused by external influences quickly resolved. Customer wishes always taken into account and sound advice given on the art of the possible. Luggage pick up and delivery worked very smoothly and seemlessly. Accommodation selected was spot on for my needs. Thoroughly recommended.
Mike and Linda planned the perfect walk for me, from St. Ives to Falmouth. Their knowledge of the region and willingness to accommodate my preferences were great! The book, maps and GPS tracks they provided made navigating super easy. I enjoyed the lovely guest houses they reserved for me, and kind hosts. The trail is absolutely gorgeous and the people I met were welcoming and friendly. I look forward to doing another section of the trail next Spring. I highly recommend Walk The Trail for trip planning.
Using Walk the Trail, we did a self-guided hike of England's South West Coast Path from Exmouth to Lyme Regis. Communications before the trip with WTT were smooth, cordial, and helpful. The materials we were sent were also very helpful. The daily forwarding of our bags all went very well. Two of the five accommodations, the Woodlands Hotel in Sidmouth, and the Lyme Townhouse in Lyme Regis, were very good indeed; and the Abele Tree House in Budleigh Salterton was exceptionally good. Still, we would not use Walk the Trail again, because two of the accommodations out of the five, the Dolphin Hotel in Exmouth, and the Anchor Inn in Beer, were sub-standard. The room in the Dolphin Hotel was plain and spartan, and was so small the king bed filled the room almost completely. Tiny bath to match. The room in the Anchor Inn in Beer was also drab and spartan, with an enclosed shower in the tiny bath so small that if you dropped the soap you were going to have to do without it. Our floor, and all the floors in the rooms around us and above us, made loud creaking sounds with every step placed on them, so there was an almost constant cacophony of floorboard noise in our room. The room was also right over a very noisy street. Overall, there was an enormous drop in quality between the three quite suitable accommodations and these latter two rooms. They were way out of line with the cost of the package. Two out of five failures is simply too many to excuse.
We have been walking the South West Coastal path with Walk the Trail for over a decade and cannot praise them enough. They have adjusted and adapted our walks for the last 4 years to include our (now) 5 year old daughter and they think of everything to keep her happy, from the best accomodation, to where we can stop and see things she might like. The week we spend walking using the itenary the team creates for us is the best week of the year for all of us and we can't wait to get back out next summer. Thank you to the whole team and I'll be in touch with dates for 2025 shortly!

In late August 2024, my sister and my neice and I traveled from Alabama and Tennessee to hike the 73 miles of the South West Coast Path from Exmouth to Lulworth Cove in celebration of my 70th birthday. It was a fantastic walk made even better by the services provided by Walk The Trail! From the beginning planning stages through to the last evening of our hike, the Walk The Trail team was available, responsive, reliable, good-natured and helpful. The accommodations they booked for us were, without exception, perfect. We loved staying in the small, independent hotels and B&Bs! They were all located in places that were easy to walk to from the trail. The breakfast at each place was generous, nourishing and really good. Thank you, Linda, Mike and all your team for the great job you did for us! We would definitely use Walk The Trail again. Here are a few pictures including one is us in Exmouth the evening before the start of our hike.
Just home after walking 14 days on the SWCP, Minehead to Padstow. What a beautiful stretch of coastline................
Many thanks to Linda, Mike and the team at Walk the Trail for a fantastic trip. The comprehensive information we received prior to our trip was superb and the contact during our walk was much appreciated regarding our care. We are looking forward to booking up for the next stage! Elaine and Ann
Highly Recommend the company Walk the Trail
Linda, Mike and the team at Walk the trail are quite frankly brilliant. We had a very tricky section of the SWCP (Portloe-Exmouth) to negotiate with a number of river crossings to get across or around and at times lack of accommodation on or nearby the trail. This didn't faze the Walk the trail team and they put together a great trip that suited us perfectly and worked out perfectly. I am not sure other companies are able to provide a bespoke trip as well as them. I would highly recommend Walk the Trail to anyone thinking about a self guided walking tour on any of the tours that they are offering the personal service is excellent.
