Can you say I want my money back! Don't waste your money, truly. I spend $400 on a kit. I send it in. I get notice that one of my samples got damaged and I need to send another one in. Send it in and weeks later still no results. I reached out to them and they said I did not complete my questionnaire. I most certainly did- which took forever. So now they are holding my results hostage because they see on their end my questionnaire is incomplete and are telling me I must do it again! Can you say I want my money back! But wait- they won't refund me because I used the kit!!!! Crazy! I just can't believe what companies get away with.

I was really excited to dig into Viome. As a functioning adult, I knew the end goal of the company was to encourage purchasing their supplements, but I did not realize how much of it would come into play. The price of the test made me think there would be some really fantastic data available once my results were finalized; however, this was far from the case. Sure, they provided a long list of foods that were good vs bad for my gut, but it was incredibly unbalanced. Out of 250+ foods, just a handful of no-nos - and the kicker? Most of them the no foods ended up in that category because I selected in my survey that I felt sensitive to them. Are you kidding me? So, no actual lab data showed that these foods were bad for my gut microbiome. Just my survey response. For example, the Viome survey asks if you feel sensitive to dairy. I said yes. The last few years I have felt off when I eat pizza or ice cream. Do I know whats going on? Absolutely not. Is part of the reason why I ordered the Viome test was to check if dairy had an effect on my gut? Yes. Yes, it was. But apparently, and this is according to a Viome representative who hosted a webinar on the product, if you elect an answer in the survey that states you feel a possible sensitivity to a food, the ** generated lab will NOT provide information about how those foods interact with your gut microbiome. This woman actually followed up her comment stating that if you want all of your foods checked in the lab, you should leave any sensitivities OUT of the survey. WHAT? Viome 100% lost my vote after that shareout. I learned absolutely nothing I didnt already know from this test - that my gut is inflamed (anyone who questions if they have inflammation, has inflammation.) So, cool. I learned nothing new, I have a general idea of foods that are good for me (almost all foods - wild). And a long list of pre and probiotics I need to add to my monthly subscription catalogue.I do not recommend.

Got my results back a few days ago and here are my impressions. On the overall i was evaluated as having average gut health with 9 scoring items in needs of attention. Viome provided lists of food to avoid, minimize, enjoy or are super. It also offered supplements and probiotics to buy through subscription. The following are the deficiencies: the list of bacterial species detected in your sample could be downloaded for examination. Nevertheless, alpha and beta diversity (the diversity in the number of species and relative amounts of each compared to a healthy gut) was not shown graphically, numerically or explained in words. In explaining the scores the responsible bacterial species were never mentioned. A deeper scientific explanation or analysis of the results are needed so customers could validate them personally or with help from healthcare providers. In the absence of better explanations i personally feel lukewarm about Viome recommendations. I may proceed with corrective actions about diet, buy some prebiotics which are cheaper on ******, then in a year or two try my luck with a better direct-to-consumer company. In short, Viome did not meet my expectations of an above average microbiome company.

The Oral Health Test is a scam. The results just say average, average, average, not optimal, etc. The results don't make sense, are only through their App, not helpful in anyway. Anyone could make this up. They just try to push their supplements after telling you should eat these common sense superfoods (no duh). Useless waste of money. Basically a fraudulent service.

not informative I have very bad SIBO and IBS and my digestive tract had been destroyed from taking multiple antibiotics over 15 months. I was trying to see if there were specific results - but ewxtremely disappointed to see that they just gave me generic "you're digestion needs improvement." I wanted to see the actual RESULTS - surely there were results? Why dont they give us the results? I just did a stool transplant, and that, by the way, completely fixed me, but they test the donors carefully and those were the kind of results I wanted to see. The supplements were nicely boxed and shipped, and I actually bought someone else's supplements on ebay to compare (I wanted to see if they were just scamming - and selling everybody teh same supplements). They do appear to be different quantities of supplements in our packets, but somethign in the probiotic packet caused my skin to itch - so I cannot take those - which surprised me because I thought the whole point of this viome test wzs to see what I was allergic to, or what caused inflammation. Anyway, it did not work for me.

False advertising They claims 2-3 weeks but it does take longer. And, mind you after the "tech" begins the "process" it's all an AI generated system that creates the results. You get the everyday run of the mill do's and don'ts of the foods to avoid and which are healthy, that you obviously already know processed foods etc ..DUH! Not FDA approved and not worth the money. I only wish I had done some more research and not gone with just what some had commented on this. Your health insurance (which you already pay) can be more helpful than these guys. I do not recommend. Do not waste your money.

They are just trying to sell their supplements Total waste! The problem is they provide a little bit of good info about your gut but they don’t tell you enough to try to fix it EXCEPT to buy their supplements and probiotics. Their recommendation (specific to me) with NO stomach issues was $169/month. And no, I didn’t buy them.

Waste of Money The results were not helpful at all nor did they actually tell me what my food allergies are - this is incredibly misleading and the results have not helped me take a further step in my health journey whatsoever. I knew the issue lay in my gut and this is essentially all the testing told me - nothing was new. Indicating which foods have the potential to disrupt your microbiome doesn't help me eat smarter as this information is already available and not specific to my body in particular. Your next steps are to continue to give them money for their customized formula, WITHOUT actually understanding what you need. There is no other option than to proceed with them. Additionally, their food advice did NOT align with a nutritionist that I consulted. There are so many better tests. Meet with a nutritionist and your money will go much further. Disappointed.

Non existent Customer Service Terrible Service. I have been trying to change an address on file to place an order. It is inconceivable to me that an organization such as Viome, purportedly dedicated to customer satisfaction, could allow such a fundamental breakdown in service to occur. It is beyond comprehension that a company would rely on an AI system to manage its customer service, as it seems evident that such a system is woefully inadequate in addressing the needs of its clientele.

Viome establishes a recommended food list based more on answers to a health questionnaire rather than on the actual gut microbiome.Viome does not give a list of the bacteria, good or bad, found in the sample, nor their relative amounts, high or low.

There are many strings attached in order to receive your test results My wife and I purchased two of these. There are major strings attached that everyone should be aware of in order to get your test results. Firstly, the collection process for the blood draw is very difficult. They provide pretty cheap mini titers that are very easily clogged with blood, and to collect 100ccs in two vials is very challenging. It will take you 30-60 minutes and multiple lancet punctures of your fingers. Secondly, in order to receive your results you will have to consent to a lengthy form which stipulates that you transfer ownership of your samples to Viome and provides consent to them to use your DNA for testing and research by them. They state the research is "population wide" but there are no restrictions on them for using your genetic information, including selling it to a third party or hostile country. Thirdly, it is not possible to get your results anonymously. You have to provide them your real life identification, which they can then attach to your genetic profile in their database. They state that they do not conduct a full DNA mapping on your data, but there are also no limitations on their ability to do so. If they wanted to engage in bioweapons research there is no restriction on their ability to use your DNA to do so (I'm not saying they will, but the consent has no prohibitions on what they do with your data)After learning all of that I called Viome to ask for a refund, and to their credit they have agreed to that, which is appreciated as the test is expensive. But I wished I had known all this before I took the time to go through the process. Some people care whether they share their genetic information and others don't, and so I hope everyone will benefit from knowing this beforehand.

Gimmick / Scam Spent 1000s with Viome. Followed their food recommendations and supplements. First test said my bio age was 34, then same year later 37, 6 months later 58. How the heck I spent 1000s and you age me 20 years? What a SCAM!!! Not to say they provide the worst customer service!!!

Please note we ordered Viome, test results were received. Now we are trying to order the Viome supplements and they encourage us to purchase 3 months worth to ensure optimum health. Unfortunately, Viome insists that we have to purchase each month separately, and in separate packages. They do not care about the planet at all. We wanted to order our full 3 months now, in one package. After spending 45 minutes on the phone, they are not interested in doing this for us. There is no critical thinking here! Very disappointed that they do not care about the planet.

This is NOT accurate I am a physician. I saw the ad in face book and got the test done in Jan 2023. Wanted to discuss results with a professional but they will let me talk to any qualified professional. I did take supplements for full 8 months and then retested. Several scores which were good before got worse!My conclusion: There is no substitute for good diet which has whole foods without refined AND processed food. You will get a good microbiome by sticking to a healthy diet. The science about gut microbiome is still evolving. I think taking supplements may end up harming you!

cool insight at molecular level Pretty cool. You get to see your foods and how you agree or disagree at molecular level. I fond foods that I had been avoiding before flagged and also foods that I suspected I should avoid were highlighted with details on why I should avoid or not. The scores also give you a sense of your overall gut state and for people taking supplements, there is a subscription thing where you can get all your supplements mixed according to your molecular data
