Mr Maurino undertook cataract surgery in both my eyes and the results are excellent. The procedure itself was not at all unpleasant and I had no discomfort in my eyes afterwards. From start to finish, I was delighted with my care and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mr Maurino to anyone contemplating similar surgery.
My father recently had cataract surgery with Mr Maurino, he had severe and moderate cataract in each eye which prevents him from doing most daily activities. He also has high myopia -16 in one eye and -12 in the other. He could hardly read or see far distance even with glasses. After surgery his eye has now recovered to reading perfectly well arm distance without glasses, and he has 20:20 vision in both eyes with glasses when looking long distance. This is absolutely a miracle and my father’s life quality increased so much because of the surgery. Mr Maurino was very patient and calm, the experience has been amazing.

I had bilateral cataract surgery performed by Mr Maurino a month ago, and am absolutely thrilled with the results. I had delayed making an initial appointment for over a year due to my fear of eye surgery. In the event, I really needn’t have worried. I chose this consultant due to his excellent reputation, and I’m so glad I did. He inspired confidence and trust as soon as I met him due to his knowledge, professionalism and approachable manner. The operation itself was completely painless, thanks to Mr Maurino’s skill, assisted by the anaesthetising eye drops and slight sedation. I couldn’t feel what was happening at all, which had been my biggest fear! It was all over in about 35 minutes.
The improvement in my vision has been miraculous, and I am now free of glasses, except for reading the tiniest print in a dim light.

I had bilateral cataract surgery, both eyes corrected on the same appointment. I would definitely recommend this if it applies to anyone, as you will start your eye drops and heal simultaneously. Prior to surgery l had a strong prescription in both eyes, 40 years of wearing glasses and when l got home the television was so clear, it was quite amazing.
On the day of surgery l was met by a very experienced nurse who attendeded to everything and answered any questions l had. The surgery itself, don't over think it, it was calm and quick!

I had corrective lasik surgery over 20 years ago and had problems with my eyesight over the last year. Mr Maurino and his team identified the refractive issues following very detailed examination and I had a very successful cataract surgery to rectify. Mr Maurino explained all details of the process, possible risks and how to manage the after care very clearly. I felt I was looked after incredibly well and would highly recommend him.
I had Femto-LASIK surgery in both eyes in October 2024 with Mr Maurino. As a surgeon myself Vision is particularly important and so I am delighted to be free of glasses. The procedure itself lasted approximately 20 minutes as was painless. I could see without my glasses a couple of hours later and my vision was at 20/20 within a day. Mr Maurino is a skilled surgeon and the whole process was efficient, painless and stress free. He and all his staff were very kind and attentive. He’s basically given me new eyes and has improved my quality of life so much that I can’t praise him or thank him enough.
Wore glasses since the age of 6 and contacts since 16, then decided to go for Lasik at 28. After consultation with Mr Maurino, I was advised it would be better to go for Trans-PRK due to pupil size. Things worked out and my vision is now better than 20/20 vision with no side effects (like halos)! Very professional atmosphere.
