Got what l wanted with good advice...they made a mistake on length of vertical blinds, completely remade them...not a problem..had shopped around on prices in other stores...very competitive.

I visited the Pennybridge showroom in Ballymena on Monday, hoping for a positive experience, but unfortunately left feeling quite disappointed.
Village Blinds certainly has a very glamorous and impressive studio; however, in my experience, the level of customer service did not match the surroundings.
When I arrived, the reception I received from the lady at the desk (with burgundy hair) felt very cold and unwelcoming. After explaining that I was looking for a specific cream fabric with blackout lining, she brought out just a single sample book. Given the large number of books on display in the showroom, I was surprised and confused that I wasn’t offered any additional options. When I asked further, I was left with the impression that she was uninterested in helping me and unwilling to engage beyond the bare minimum.
Her manner came across as sharp and dismissive, and I didn’t feel valued as a potential customer. At one point, I did mention that I had been dealing with recent health issues and gently asked for a bit more sensitivity. After this, her tone did soften slightly, but by that stage the overall experience had already been affected.
As a result, I chose to leave without making any purchase.
I then went over to Mid Antrim Blinds, where I was assisted by a lady called Lorraine. Although the showroom itself is quite small and humble in comparison, the service I received there was completely different. Lorraine had a wealth of experience, was incredibly helpful, and took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for. Her warm and attentive approach really highlighted the contrast in customer service.
What made the experience at Village Blinds more upsetting was that I had made the effort to go out that day to lift my spirits. Instead, I left feeling quite low and disheartened by the interaction.
I believe that kindness and basic courtesy go a long way, especially as we never know what someone else might be going through. Unfortunately, the lack of warmth and care I experienced that day left a lasting negative impression.

Got shutter blinds fitted early December 2025 along with some roller blinds.Paid half on booking and the other half a week before installation (£3500).
Blinds are good quality but some of the slots don't close as equally as the others which allows light to get in.
Had to contact them again (and I never complain) with regards to a damaged bay window sill caused by inadequate care being taken to protect the surface when fitting around a brand new bay window..... still waiting on someone coming out to view but I guess after nearly four months nothing is going to happen now.
I would not recommend this company for their after care customer service and lack of respect to cover surfaces when they are climbing over them to fit blinds.

I have escalated your case to our customer care team and they will arrange an on‑site inspection within five working days to assess the bay sill damage and the shutter alignment. We will agree remedial action (repair or replacement as appropriate) and ensure the shutters are adjusted so light gaps are corrected. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

First class service, start to finish. Simple to book a home appointment, excellent speed of same and suggestions. Only took a week from ordering to fitting and the finished job is excellent. Fitted quickly and very well. Got blinds for 2 teenagers rooms (who in fairness wouldn't usually notice if you changed their whole room 🤣) but got a text message the day after they were fitted to say what a game changer the black out blinds were as they didn't surface until 1pm🤦. Fantastic job all round and highly recommended.
