This was amazing. We had 18 people there for a wedding, and the staff was amazing! Samuel was an amazing host, and the place was kept spotless! We had howler monkeys every morning near us, and it’s a quick ride into Teramondo.

Definitely Going Back!
My stay was excellent from start to finish. The staff were incredibly accommodating, warm, and genuinely lovely, making us feel welcome throughout our visit. The food was scrumptious. The location is perfect. We were able to walk into town and to the beach to enjoy local restaurants and shopping. The spa was wonderful and such a relaxing experience. Exceeded and Beyond my Expectations
It was an amazing trip. Villa Buena Onda is a must stay. The villa is amazing and beautiful. The staff is top notch. From planning with Charlie, answering my 1 million questions before we even arrived, to Sam keeping our glasses filled all day with tasty drinks, to Roxy keeping the place immaculate, and the house overseer (can't recall his name) who made sure we had everything we needed. The massages were heavenly and the meals were delicious. Everything was home made and curated just for you. Everyone was very thoughtful, and made the trip memorable. We were treated like queens. It's an amazing place to stay. Lots of space. They even surprised us on our last night to coordinate with our red dress theme, the table settings were red and they decorated the outside with red balloons and red sparkles on our wine glasses. So detailed. And they help you arrange anything you desire from excursions to a show at the villa. Don't hesitate, book it! you will not regret it.

Great vacation experience
My stay at the villa was wonderful. The staff was top tier. The food was delicious. I enjoyed the beautiful pool and swim up bar. The villa is very clean and well maintained. My only comment is that only two of the three rooms on the lower level has the view and access to the pool area. I suggest altering the description to say “2 lower level suites with access to the pool and one lower level room with limited view and an outdoor shower.” I highly recommend staying at the villa.

Perfect villa for a gathering of 12-20 people
What an epic experience! Every detail of this villa was exemplary. The rooms were beautiful, the pool was amazing, a never ending flow of a myriad of amazing drinks, excellent food, more than anything the staff was incredibly attentive and joyful! I went there with a group of my college friends to celebrate a milestone birthday and the set up was just perfect for this!! Each morning, I would wake up to see beautiful birds and at times some monkeys. I definitely heard the howling monkeys. It was an absolute delight. Not to forget, the spa services were excellent and it’s such a beautiful petite spa space on the premises. It was an absolute pleasure to have every detail taken care of. Transport from the airport, tours, etc. we’re all organized for us with well vetted out tour companies. Do not miss an opportunity to come to this amazing villa!

Our group of 14 said this was the best trips we've ever had as a family, if not the best! When my husband and I travel solo, we enjoy resorts with exceptional service- such as Rosewood or the Four Seasons- and Villa Buena Onda exceeded our expectations. In a private rental you usually don't get the same level of service as you do at a resort (nor do I expect it). However, Villa Buena Onda provides a full service experienceFrom before booking to check out, Charlie was amazing! He replied promptly with detail to my questions (I had a lot)On a day to day basis, we had Samuel, Ashley &Nela on staff. Nela made delicious meals every day and was so sweet to make a cake for one of our guest's birthday. Ashley & Samuel took care of anything we needed during the day. A few went deep sea fishing. Samuel offered to clean the fish and then staff prepared it for lunch for us (even though we did not have lunch included in our meal plan- more on that later- and expected to clean the fish ourselves).The villa was gorgeous. Rooms were comfortable & well stocked.The grounds and outdoor setup provide your own private oasis. The covered lounge area with fans made it pleasant to sit outside all day by the pool. The spa is a nice touch and recommended. I recommend adding the full bar to the meal plan. We opted NOT to do it because there were a couple people in our group who don't drink, but in hindsight it would have been easier and well worth it. I highly recommend Villa Buena Onda!

The staff were amazing. Loved them so much! (Especially Samuel). Facility was great! (Not exceptional) We like sleeping cool, it was difficult to get our rooms cool. The facility handles 21, there was only 7 of us. Food was good. (Not great) Really enjoyed our stay there. Other than Coco beach, we had to travel most days. Typically we drove 30 to 45 minutes each day to get to our activities. Very rough roads in decent vehicles. They was difficult for all of us.

The second visit was just as fantastic as the first!
This was our second time staying at Villa Buena Onda and it was just as fantastic as the first time. The staff is incredibly friendly and was very attentive to our needs. The food was fresh and abundant. Our excursions were all amazing. We highly recommend the hike to the La Leona Waterfall. It was a bit challenging, but well worth it. We can't wait to come back next year!
