We have had a great experience working with Viking on our shop project so far. Very quick and responsive with updates and questions we had. Can't wait for the project to be completed!

We placed an order for a metal outbuilding with this company in April. The initial design process was excellent, with responsive communication during the design phase and when finalizing our contract with Viking. We paid our deposit in April to initiate manufacturing, with an estimated timeline of 2-3 months. However, by the end of the third month, we had not received any updates. Being in the construction industry, we understand that delays can happen, and this was not a significant concern for us. However, our attempts to communicate with the company for updates have been met with silence. It has often taken days or even weeks to get a response from Viking, and when they do respond, we are told, "It's in production." When we request a more specific turnaround time, we receive no further information. Our calls, voicemails, and emails to our "contacts" either go unanswered or are met with vague promises of a callback that never materializes. Although we are handling the installation ourselves, we need to be informed of the timing to prepare the site for the building's arrival. Unfortunately, nobody from the company can provide us with a clear answer. Complicating matters further, we are approaching a deadline with our permit; if no work is done on the site within six months, we will need to reissue the permit and incur additional fees. While we understand that delays can occur, the lack of communication—arguably the simplest part of this process—has been extremely frustrating and unprofessional. We have a significant amount of money tied up with this company and feel like we are being given the runaround.

From the very beginning when Ryan reached out I had a good feeling about the company. Ryan answered every question I had and was very professional. Ryan has been great to work with and I look forward to the next phases of my build!

Ryan was a pleasure to work with and a great help in designing my steel building. So far the company is responding promptly and I am looking forward to the completion of my project.

I initially was very impressed by the website and ease of the DIY program. The prices were very competative so the volunteer organization I assist with made a purchase of a 60'x60' pole barn style building. After the intial deposit, things got weird. Communication via email was very delayed. The process to get things moving was slow (I take some blame for a missed email that added a month+ to the project, but a follow up by Viking would have been nice) Ultimately, after about 7 months the building arrived and was scheduled to be installed. They no showed on the delivery date. When I called they said sorry. Nevermind the equipment rental cost to download the delivery truck. I assisted in the install and so many parts were mismarked. When I called, it always went to a voicemail. When you did reach people, they would say "call you back in a few minutes", hours later I would be calling back and getting a voicemail. It was the worse communication when they had all their money. Oh BTW, the door was not with the shipment. When I called, I was told it comes on another delivery. Cool....except nobody said that and the building had been delivered for over three weeks. Didn't discover the missing door until install when it was needed. On the positive... The building appears to be of high quality The paint seems to be high quality All products delivered were in new shape without damage. The customer service staff are professional and polite (even when I wasn't). But I do question their knowledge of the business or process. Nice building, but I would go somewhere else next time. It is possible that this was a one off incident, as the company has excellent reviews. PS I dont write reviews, and i am trying to be nice with 3-stars.

So far, the experience with Viking has been stellar. Rich was VERY patient with me as I fined tuned the design (a process that took several months), and answered every little question I had. They easily had the best prices available, which seemed suspect to me at first, but when I asked Rich about it he just chuckled and explained how they are able to save a ton by pre-fabbing the structure and sending a team of guys to build what is essentially a huge, high quality erector set. I will return to provide an update on this review once the project is finished. If it's as seamless as the planning phase, I'll gladly come back to this review and re-emphasize the 5-star rating.

I can't say enough good about this company. Richard Gomez a salesperson who is so patient at listening and answering questions. He will work with you no matter how many questions you have . Their product is quality and actually so good that it slowed me down trying to figure why the deal was so much better than their competitors and what was I missing. So far I'm in the initial phase of getting plans and applying for a permit and I expect nothing more than great service the rest of my journey. Also before you accept a company calling you and saying they just happen to have a previous cancelled order they will make you a deal on take that exact deal and call Richard and find out what a real honest deal will cost . I did and it saved me thousands ..

I worked with Richard on the design and purchase of a Viking Building for over a month. He was great to work with and very responsive to my numerous questions and never lost his patience, no small thing. Through perseverance we were able to work together to come up with a custom building that meets all my needs. I would say Richard is a solid 9, I'd give him a 10 but then he might become overconfident. One thing I noted about Viking Buildings is they seem to have better components (insulation, gauge of siding, etc.) than other equivalent metal building manufactures. They were even superior to what my local pole barn style builders offered, especially for insulation. I will add another review once my building arrives and I get it put up to let you know how that part goes. So far my experience has been awesome and I am optimistic the remainder of this project will be the same. Stay tuned....

The whole experience so far has been amazing. Richard has been such a help. He's patient, professional, logical and understanding. We went from our dreams crushed by the cost of a stick built 40x40 shop and not being able to come up with the $$ it would cost, to having the joy and hope brought back. We were even able to exempt it to 40x60 and still be within 1/4 of the price of the stick built with someone else. We are so excited for their time, work and flexibility on this project! I will totally have to share photos once it's done as we only just started the process. But with how awesome they have been so far, I am certain the rest will be smooth sailing!

After years of researching, watching videos, reading reviews, talking to people and looking at their buildings, and deciding between multiple building materials and builders for my backyard shop, I finally chose Viking Manufacturing to make my dream of having a backyard shop a reality. I used the online design modeler to lay out the design. After submitting my design for a quote I received a call from Richard the next morning. By the end of the day Richard and I had spoken on the phone multiple times, quotes were given, plans were modified, and quotes were updated. At the end of the day my deposit was made to get the ball rolling. Richard was great to work with. He answered all my questions and made me feel I made the right choice by choosing Viking Manufacturing. Here's to hoping the rest of the process goes just as smoothly.
