This was a more complex solar/battery domestic installation than usual valued at £14,500 and necessitating two follow-up visits from the initial installation to achieve the desired result. No project of this kind is without issues and in some respects was an unexpected learning experience!
Nevertheless, over a two month period I never felt any lack of confidence that UPS Solar and its staff were anything other than completely committed to delivering a solution to meet requirements and did not charge a single penny for rework, in spite of my offer to pay for it. There could not have been a clearer demonstration of the value in selecting the right installer for a job. Well done everybody!
A very positive experience. Initial contact was informative and reliable. Throughout there was good, clear communication and deadlines were maintained. Each person encountered worked efficiently and neatly with the final handover informative and reassuring. Initial thoughts are that the system is working well and worth the investment in alternative energy.
We had 16 panels and a 11.5kw battery installed in June 2026. Would highly recommend UPS (and have done to friends who are now waiting for their installation). Pre-sales advice/survey, in terms of optimising the system for our house and our needs was excellent. The price seemed very competitive vs. other quotes received too. The organisation was also excellent and the installation neat and efficient. After sales was also excellent (we had a small issue with the bird protection kinking after installation, but this was rectified quickly). The scaffolding was up and back down quickly, as promised. Slight hiccup caused by Octopus when (after the solar installation) installing a new smart meter, but UPS resolved this too on a return visit. All documents etc. were received quickly and we're now up and running and using and exporting lots of our own power. With thanks to Chris, Sophie, Debbie, Dennis and team.
I discovered UPS Solar by chance, when I had already collected several quotes and was about to select another supplier. I sent them my chosen quote and they pretty much matched them, but with better quality panels. Communication on quotes and proposals from Alan was clear, punctual and with no hard-selling techniques. Both Hesham with the survey and Joe and his team of installers were very competent, they did a terrific job, despite the awful heat. On the installation day, they discovered they could actually fit 2 extra panels on my roof, and they had already the extra ones; so they did, with our consent, and the office adjusted the invoice accordingly, without the need for me to do anything. The aftersale service is excellent, I was amazed when the day after the installations I alrerady received all the documents!!
In summary, UPS Solar is an example of how every company should operate: they said they'd do something - even as small as giving you a call back - and they actually do it. As simple as that. A lovely customer experience. Will definitely buy from them again!
Installation went as planned and team were polite and diligent. After a problem with app being blocked by our walls installation of an ethernet link kept them on site until the work was done and proven to be operating. Linking to the grid for an export tariff payment was also easy.

I registered an interest in Solar Panels and Battery with the Worcestershire County Council Switch Together scheme and UPS Solar were the approved and accredited installer who made a proposal to fit solar at my home. I would say the Survey would benefit from using laser measurements and laptop as opposed to pencil, graph paper, tape and ruler. That said I agreed a design it was installed quickly and staff worked very hard. Unfortunately two small wires were incorrectly wired which led to a fault. The Tech Department and installation engineer quickly resolved this matter which showed excellent customer service. All relevant paperwork was handed over quickly and scaffolding was removed in a timely fashion. Whilst there were a couple of issues they were quickly resolved and I was overall very impressed with all my interactions with UPS Solar and would definitely recommend them in the future, their scheme was also competitively priced.
I recently had a solar system installed by UPS Solar, and I couldn't be happier with the experience.
Before choosing an installer, I spent a considerable amount of time researching online reviews and seeking personal recommendations. Based on everything I found, I decided to go with UPS Solar, and I'm pleased to say they fully lived up to my expectations.
The entire process was smooth and hassle-free from start to finish. From the initial online quote, through the technical survey, to the scaffolding and final installation, everything was well organised and completed without any issues.
A special mention goes to Sophie, who was absolutely brilliant throughout the whole process. Her communication and coordination were excellent, and she kept us informed every step of the way, making the experience straightforward and stress-free.
There were a couple of cheaper options available, but for a system that is expected to last for many years, I felt it was worth paying a little extra for the reassurance of working with an established and professional company rather than taking a risk with smaller installers.
I'm also pleased to say that all the relevant documentation, including the G98 approval paperwork, was provided promptly, and I am now successfully exporting electricity back to the grid.
Overall, I would highly recommend UPS Solar to anyone considering a solar installation.
Very happy with the solar panels and battery fitted by UPS solar. They were knowledgeable , gave detailed quotes and answered any questions quickly. They arranged the scaffolding around my schedule and were able to sort extra work quickly. the installers were professional, friendly and did a good job. Thank you.

Our experience with UPS Solar was outstanding from beginning to end. The company was chosen for us by the County Council group purchase scheme, which gave me the confidence that UPS is a large, reputable and well-established company. The customer service from Sophie and her colleagues was exemplary. She was always on hand to answer questions and give me advice, and always very quick to respond to my emails. The installation itself was done by a skilled, polite and efficient contractor, who rated UPS very highly himself (and he would know, having worked for other companies). The quality of the products is excellent, and the follow up customer service is also outstanding. We had a few technical issues just after the installation, and these were fixed the very next day by the installer.

I have been using my solar system for a week now, and the whole experience has been far easier and more straightforward than I ever imagined. What I expected to be quite a daunting project turned out to be completely stress-free from start to finish.
From the initial enquiry through to the final setup, every step was clearly explained and communicated, and everything was actioned promptly and efficiently.
The team at UPS Solar were always helpful, professional, and happy to answer any questions along the way, which gave me confidence throughout the process.
I was initially a little nervous after reading some reviews mentioning delays with scaffolding removal, but I’m pleased to report that in my case the scaffolding was taken down within a week of the installation being completed. The scaffolding company, although subcontracted, were every bit as professional and reliable as UPS Solar themselves. They were courteous, efficient, and a pleasure to deal with throughout the process.
What could have been a complicated undertaking was made remarkably simple, and I’m delighted with the result. I would happily recommend UPS Solar to anyone considering solar panels.

I had a 20 solar panel, inverter and battery system installed this week by UPS. From start to finish they have been excellent. The communication, support, installation and after care has been brilliant. Special mention to Alan, Debbie and Si the installer who were excellent.
