I believe in taking the time to leave reviews for organizations and companies that go above and beyond and I feel like Umake truly did this for me. I live in Burnaby BC, whereas Umake is based on QC, yet they were still the best service I found. I had a 4' x 8' sheet to laser cut with multiple pieces in it (some very delicate). My main point of contact at Umake was a gentleman named Luke and my highlights of working with him were 1)prompt reply after initial contact via website form 2)him understanding my project and files without needing to overexplain myself and him also being organized with some of my file changes 3)quick turnaround time for the actual job 4)quick shipping across the country 5)advice on which material would be best for my project 6)all pieces arriving well-packaged and intact within 2 weeks of first point of contact 7) very reasonable pricing. These are just to name a few.
My studio is currently filled with the delicious scent of freshly laser-cut plywood and I could not be more thankful. Will be working with this team again!

I don't normally like to leave a poor review, and based on all of the other positive reviews, I was surprised by my experience a couple of weeks back.
At first it seemed like this was going to be a great experience, as I called and spoke with someone regarding my laser-cutting needs. I was told to email more of the specifics of my project, which I did. I did not receive a response by the time they closed that day, so I resent my email to the email address I was given by the person on the phone, plus to the email on the website for quotes, also requesting them to confirm they received my email.
I also called the next morning and left a message (I may have even left two phone messages) that I had sent my project via email and wanted to confirm it had been received. Sadly, I did not receive any response at all to my phone calls, nor to my emails, hence the 1-star review.
