Family, freedom, views, kindness, unforgettable We’ve just returned from a fantastic two-night stay in the tipi, and I honestly can’t praise it enough. From the moment we arrived, Robbin and Nicola couldn’t have been more welcoming or kind. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel completely at home, and nothing was ever too much trouble. The setting itself is magical, my son and two daughters, aged 3, 8 and 11, had the freedom to explore and absolutely loved every second. They spent their days chasing chickens, feeding the sheep, and generally being mischievous, before winding down in the evenings roasting marshmallows on the firepit we all built together. These moments really brought our family together, and it’s all the girls have talked about since we came home. The tipi was cosy and comfortable with everything we needed, and waking up to those breathtaking views each morning was something special. Ty Uchaf manages to capture that perfect balance of adventure for the kids and relaxation for the grown-ups!! A huge thank you to Robbin and Nicola for creating such a memorable experience for us, your kindness and thoughtfulness made the trip extra special. We honestly can’t recommend Ty Uchaf highly enough, and we’re already looking forward to our next stay. 5 stars all round!

My wife Sam & i had a amazing stay here on our short holiday for our wedding anniversary. Great surrounding & amazing views of the moors, and very quiet! The pod was nice, clean & with nice interior. Robin went above & beyond to make sure our stay was great, what an amazing host.

We had a fantastic weekend in the tipi with our two daughters - we all absolutely loved it. Robin was so patient and kind with the children, they loved feeding the chickens and the sheep. The little touches like the marshmallows and the milkshake from the local farm were so thoughtful. The girls loved running around the Glamping field and made friends with a girl who staying in one of the Glamping pods. And the sunsets are spectacular! We visited Llangollen for the day and did the two hour horse drawn boat ride up to Horseshoe Falls which was really relaxing. The tipi was very well equipped and Robin is a fantastic host, he made sure we had everything we needed. We’ll be booking again for next year! Thank you 😊

My son (3) and I adored our stay at Ty Ucha. Robin was so welcoming and so focused sure we had the best stay. My son loved the @little fellas” (chickens) and helping to feed the sheep. Great walk up hope mountain and spectacular views from the pod as well. One we won’t be forgetting anytime soon! We be returning for longer in the new year!

An unforgettable experience at Ty Uchaf We had an absolutely amazing time staying at Ty Uchaf. From the moment we arrived, our host Robin went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us. His warm welcome and genuine care really made all the difference, he truly went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable, happy, and had everything we needed for a great stay. He even got my children a locally made milkshake and marshmallows to toast on the BBQ as a treat. The location is simply stunning, surrounded by the beauty of the Welsh countryside, it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind. The campsite is peaceful and picturesque, with breathtaking views all around. The tipi was incredibly comfortable, well-equipped with everything you could possibly need, and thoughtfully set up to make you feel right at home. We had such a great time and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape with outstanding hospitality in a beautiful setting, we can’t recommend Ty Uchaf highly enough. Thank you so much, Robin, we’ll definitely be back!

What a fantastic stay! My daughter hasn’t stopped talking about how much fun she had feeding the chickens and lambs and sheep and has asked when she can come back already. Perfect break away was amazing and Robin is a fantastic host. Brilliant communication, really attentive, great attention to detail. It is such a peaceful place and is brilliant for taking children to. Great facilities on the site and a lovely pub called the cross keys within walking distance with great food. Loads to do in the area. We will definitely be booking again in the future and would highly recommended as a place to stay.

Wonderful place with beautiful views. Tipi was gorgeous, spacious and comfortable. Wood burner kept us warm in the evening. Enjoyed the marshmallows and firepit and relaxing in the hammock. Great hosting by Robin who was welcoming and friendly. Cannot fault this place at all!

Superb Exceptional place. I went with partner and 2 kids and it could not have been any better! The tipi was gorgeous, all facilities were brilliant. Beds comfy, views amazing. We will be back without a doubt. Robin the host was brilliant and the kids enjoyed feeding the animals. Breakfast pack was wonderful. One of the loveliest camping holidays I've had.

Brilliant A beautiful site in a beautiful setting. Immaculate bathroom and shower facilities with 360 degree views, including Castell Dinas overlooking Llangollen. The lovely Helen and her lovely mum were most welcoming, chatty and helpful. Three days of sunshine too. First time campervanners, but we hope to come back. Faultless.

I’ve known Robin for years—we used to work together and have stayed friends ever since—so it’s been on my list for a long time to visit the glamping site he’s poured his heart into. You can feel the love and passion he’s put into every part of it. Finally, we made the trip for a weekend stay to celebrate my birthday, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. We stayed in the teepee, and booked the nearby glamping pod for our family. Both were beautifully set up, with everything you could possibly need (and more). The setting is just stunning—peaceful, surrounded by nature, and thoughtfully laid out. It’s the kind of place that makes you instantly slow down and breathe a little deeper. We spent our time exploring the local area on foot, had a meal (and a few drinks!) at the charming village pub, and made a hearty stew over the fire pit back at the site. One of my favourite moments was sharing a glass of red wine with Robin in the evening—just catching up and soaking in the atmosphere he’s created. My daughter absolutely adored the animals, especially feeding the sheep and collecting eggs from the chickens. There was even a little treasure hunt for the kids, which was such a sweet touch. Robin and Nicola are the most welcoming, generous hosts. They’ve created something really special here—warm, family-friendly, and full of care. Whether you’re going with children, friends, or as a couple, I’d wholeheartedly recommend a stay. You won’t be disappointed.

I stayed at one of the pods with my husband and 5 year old over the weekend (but wish we stayed longer!). Our stay exceeded our expectations. Robin was a fantastic host, he went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. The views were breathtaking- so much so that we decided to spend the whole weekend on site rather than our initial plan of exploring Wales. We are already planning to come back!

Perfect. Fabulous host, amazing and unique experience. What a fabulous weekend our family have had at Ty- Uchaf. From the moment Robin greeted us with a smile to the longest wave goodbye down the drive our children never stopped smiling (and neither did we). The weather was great, the beds super comfy and the experience quite possibly the most unique we’ve ever had. Not strangers to camping, but definitely new to being off grid, we loved every moment. Plenty of information provided ahead of and during the visit. Never once did Robin stop smiling, he really is merry from the Cymru air and it does wonders for everyone. If you fancy time away from screens, the noise of life and nights with laughter, toasting marshmallows, looking at superb sunsets and then see the stars dancing in the open sky, this place is for you. If you’ve never showered in a roofless shower do it! It’s an experience not to be missed. Perfectly perfect.
