Ken is personable and knowledgeable. I sought out a CFP who could review my family's finances, look for opportunities to optimize taxes and asset allocation, give constructive feedback, explain concepts/strategies, bounce ideas off, and, if something should happen to me, my wife would be comfortable working with handling finances without me.
Ken checks all of those boxes and more. He is professional, transparent, and eager to research. For example, I have Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) from an employer and Ken dove into the subject to develop a plan for minimizing taxes and diversifying when the share price is right to sell the shares.
There is up front work that you, as the client, need to do to give Ken the best information possible. Be ready to get account statements, income tax filings, and provide your monthly budget (Ken has a budget spreadsheet if you don't have one).

My husband and I recently moved to FL in 2024.
We knew we needed to find our "new people" here and started researching. When it comes to financial anything, I am always very sensitive as to who will know ALL our "stuff", so we do our research. I respect the fact that when he heard what we were saying, and how we thought we should do it, he showed us how things would, and wouldn't work, but how to MAKE it work for us. He is 100% available on his phone to take a call from us, comes to your home to discuss, and also gets right on any ideas we have regarding our finances and how to manage and maneuver our ideas into positive outcomes.

I was hesitant at first to move my investments because it’s such a huge decision. However with Ken at Tusk Financial Planning this was a seamless transaction.
