We joined this tour with our family in August and it exceeded all our expectations. The itinerary was very smooth, and we had a wonderful time exploring together. We are so glad we chose this tour. As a solo traveler, there’s always a mix of excitement and uncertainty when visiting a new country. A wonderful first time in Istanbul
I only had half a day in Istanbul, booked at very short notice, and it was my first time in the city. Berkay had been recommended to me, and I could not have been happier with the experience. He was extremely flexible and put together a wonderful individual tour of the old city, including the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia from the outside, the Hippodrome and Topkapı Palace. What I particularly appreciated was that Berkay does not simply recite facts from guidebooks. He brings history to life and places it in a wider cultural and historical context, drawing on his own extensive travels and knowledge of different cultures. The tour felt personal, thoughtful and very well balanced. I learned a great deal, but never felt overwhelmed. It was also a real pleasure to be able to have a genuine conversation with him along the way — not only about the sights, but also about history, culture and the wider world.
