Tribe is a lovely family run business and you immediately feel welcomed & it genuinely feels like becoming part of a community rather than just being another customer.
There was never any pushy sales approach, which made the whole experience feel super relaxed and enjoyable. James is extremely knowledgeable and approachable, and he took the time to answer every question we had. Not once did we feel like any question was silly & he was always happy to help and explain things clearly.
The quality and standard of the conversions are outstanding! You can really see the care, craftsmanship, and attention to detail that goes into everything they do!

Excellent conversion, lovely friendly and approachable

Fantastic service from start to finish, promptly responded to my initial voicemail and could tell straight away that these guys really do care. James and Steve were able to troubleshoot and solve some issues that I was having with my solar setup on my van and I couldn’t be happier with the whole experience dealing with the company. I live in my van full time and I will definitely be returning for any future electrical work/maintenance, so refreshing to meet a company so professional yet personable that genuinely care about what they do and it definitely shows in their work!
We hired the camper van from Tribe Campers for a few days and it was such a great experience! The van was super clean, really comfy and had everything we needed. Took my T6 to Tribe to get a towbar fitted. I asked loads of questions as I'm new to owning a campervan but they were really happy to answer all my questions. They did a brilliant job and they even picked me up from home to collect my van as it was too hot for me to walk. Brilliant service and already booked in for the next job
The guys at Tribe - all of them! Are at the top of their game. All of the way through the process they have been welcoming and generous with their time. No enquiry is too much trouble. As first time campervan buyers we were extremely nervous about committing to such a purchase, but they calmly guided us through every decision. Post handover they are still there for you every step of the way. We can’t recommend them highly enough.
We started looking at campers in August last year at the Malvern three counties show and then again at the Stoneleigh show in January. At the Stoneleigh show we had seen some lovely conversions, I had seen a dark grey VW with grey interior with black leather that first I thought was perfect until we sat inside, but when inside we found it very dark and claustrophobic and seemed very small inside, the storage was poor also. We then walked around to the other side of the show ground and found Tribe Campers.
My wife looked from a distance and said I think this may be the one. We sat in a white van with a light blue bottom half that was light and airy, I said to my wife if we had one of these our holiday would start as soon as we sat in the van. We then met James and Verity, there was no sales pressure or gimmicks just this is what it does, I will give you a call on Monday and tell me what you think. We went back the following day and didn’t really look at the other converters, our minds were all ready made up.
There were many reasons for choosing Tribe too many to mention all, James’s enthusiasm and design, No gas, induction hob,table stored in side door, large fridge, great design, build quality, Stide sliding bed which gives us storage of over 1.5m2 at the rear of the bed and still room for the grand children in the rear seats. And of course Verity, Gem,Paul and the rest of the Tribe team!
We bought a lovely van conversion from Tribe back in 2020. We had a great 5 years of care-free camping. When James dropped off our van he said how much he’d enjoyed driving our DSG and if we ever wanted to sell it to get in touch. We did just that when our circumstances changed and James made it so easy to sell him our van. We were also very happy with the price we agreed. Would recommend Tribe for all aspects of their customer service.
Recently hired ‘Jasper’ the van for the bank holiday weekend. Wow, what can I say the van was so impressive, so many features and all the gear to help any newcomer to myself to the world of camping in a van! When we picked up the van the Tribe team were so welcoming, they gave us the run down on how everything worked and allowed us time to practice ourselves before we were on our way! They even showed us some of the best apps in locating places to stay. James was great when we had a query in how to operate the awning, nothing was ever too much to ask, a simple text was returned with a phone call. We will definitely be hiring Jasper again whilst we save to buy our very own camper van from Tribe.

We met James from Tribe campers at an event in January , I knew exactly what we wanted and Tribe were so accommodating, a family run business and very clearly knew what they were talking about with NO sales pitch !! It was a pleasant and refreshing change to find a company that is both passionate and knowledgdeable about their work. I am one of those people that needs to have the confidence that the work would be done to the high standard that I expect; James took the time to talk through in detail, the conversion process and components/materials used. Their knowledge and experience shone through as we negotiated the details of the build, with James providing solutions and options that I had not previously considered. I was able to get booked in quite quickly and upon collecting my converted van, I was even more pleased with the result than I was expecting. James once again took the time to talk me through all of the fine points of detail on what had been done in the conversion and how to operate the equipment fitted. I am so pleased with the results of the work done, that I have already been discussing some future additional work that I will most definitely return to Tribe to complete for me. Many thanks for the great experience, it has restored my faith in conversion companies :)
There is nothing more exciting than building your dream Camper. The team at Tribe were so friendly, patient and equally as excited and made the whole experience so smooth. They obtained the perfect base van for our conversion. We were able to fully personalise the conversion to make it a home from home. The overall quality and finished product was perfect and surpassed all expectations I had. Tribe are such a pleasure to work with, I wouldn't go anywhere else. This is our 2nd campervan and we couldn't be happier with it. They have such high standards, completely trustworthy, I confidently recommend them to anyone who is interested in campervans. Our van looks incredible!!

Having spent some time looking at other Camper Van conversion companies, we (thankfully) found "Tribe" and quickly realised that we were now in the hands of a group of people that are specialists in all they do.James and the team and are keen to understand how you intend to use the Van so they can help you to get it right first time..The "no pressure" approach was very refreshing and we were given lots of time to look at the various options available to us.James and the team were very helpful in every aspect of the build, and kept us up to date with progress regularly.Having now had the Van for 3 years and having met many other Tribe customers confirms for us that we made the right choice with "Tribe".
