Tri-Cu is great, everyone is very friendly when you walk in.. Sindy was awsome she explained things and kept me posted on our loan details with every step and it was a quick and painless process. We went with them as they were the only ones that were quick to answer me back when I inquired about HELOAN I would definitely recommend them..
Absolutely the worst bank around. Customer service… nope. But the do 💯 butt into family affairs where they don’t belong. This is a bank. That’s it. They go above that and do things they shouldn’t to interfere in family matters that have nothing to do with them.

Dear Hannah, none of our small staff knows you, and you are not even a member here, I think you got the wrong credit union? We are the only small credit union in town, in a single office (no branches) - we only have 14 employees. Generally though, please be aware that federally regulated credit unions have an obligation to ask questions regarding transactions involving our members. Not only does this help us to detect and prevent fraud, but it also helps us find and report instances of elder financial abuse or similar situations, so we can report to appropriate authorities when needed and help protect our members and their accounts.
Please doublecheck our credit union name - and remove this review if you got us confused with one of the other big credit unions in town?

Thank you for your review Stephanie!
Only reson i have accounts here is for a personal loan that was paid off over 6 mo ths ago an what ever mo ey was in there has just been sitting there BUT I'm still waiting for the "bad address" refunds. Not thrilled with having to pay for someone else's mistakes. Went in with piece of mail from the time period I was charged, was told I'd be refunded and still haven't....clearly TCCU needs the money more. My next issue is "O/D" fees with every single purchase despite hundreds of dollars in the account. Final complaint is the way accounts are named "regular shares" and "draft shares", what's wrong with checking and savings? OK, one final issue I guess, be awesome if there was a nu.ber on the back of the TCCU card to call that gets ahold of someone that can tell you why there's a fraud hold on the card. I only use Credit Unions but TCCU is the only CU I've had problems with which is incredible for a credit union account I almost never use at all.

Dear Adam, there are a few things you said here, which do not appear factually correct. First though, it sounds like an employee agreed to reverse 3 bad address fees ($15 total) several months ago and we forgot. We will get that taken care of now, we apologize!
I am confused about your "overdraft fee" comment, as we do *not* charge an overdraft transfer fee, and we have never charged any to any of your accounts, ever? Please give us a call, and we can show this to you in person. Perhaps you are seeing the transferred amounts, and assumed there was a fee included in those? I hope you realize we are the *only* CU in town that does not charge overdraft-transfer fees. In addition, we are the only CU in town that does not charge NSF-Return Fees, at all - while all other places in town charge $28+.
You asked a great question about shares and draft accounts, as a not-for-profit cooperative, you are an "owner," which is why the savings is called a share account (it is your stock share) - and a draft is an old fashioned name for checks. Many larger more "bank-like" Credit Unions dropped those names long ago. We like being different than banks though, and that is part of our history, but perhaps we do need to "get with the times" though?
Lastly, for card fraud holds you can call our normal phone number (which *is* on the back of your card), and if we are closed, there is an option to connect directly to the 24/7 card fraud department. In addition, that fraud department calls you when there are fraud holds, so perhaps we have your old phone number in our system, or you would be alerted that way as well?
We appreciate all feedback, and please call us, so we can clarify what appears to be some misunderstandings?
Our goal is for you to be thrilled with the personal friendly service at a small, local not-for-profit credit union, we have some work to do with you, and will try!
Sincerely, Tri-CU

Teller by the name of Natalya is rude and lies about dates. I'll never use this bank again.

Dear Ivan, we are sorry you had a poor experience, and your claim that any of our employees is "lying" about anything is very serious. In looking at your accounts, I assume you were waiting for deposits to clear or items to post, and sadly we cannot always guarantee how long electronic items take.
Please note, we are not a bank, rather we are a not-for-profit Credit Union, and we are the only one in the Tri-Cities that doesn't charge any NSF fees, and we charge lower Courtesy Pay Fees that anyone else as well, as helping our members save money and giving excellent service is our highest priority.
Please give us a call, as we would love more details about why you felt so unhappy with us? Thank you, and we appreciate ALL feedback!
