Diego was the best guide ever! We could not have asked for a better trip. The great company made the trek go quickly. Diego and the other guides and porters have it down to a science! Nice accommodations, good food, and the their timing was just right. Couldn't have been a better experience.

Excellent 4-day Trek
The 4-day trek from Antigua to Lake Atitlan I took was quite an adventure. The guide Andres was knowledgeable, warm, and considerate. Since I am 84 years old, he set a pace I could take. After trekking above the tree line in Nepal, Iceland, and Chile, I wanted to trek in cloud forests near volcanos. This trek not only gave that but paths through Mayan villages and fields. The camps were comfortable with large tents and air mattresses with down comforters. The outdoor shower had warm water and the food was excellent Guatemalan cuisine.
Fascinante, realmente se sintió como una busqueda del tesoro. No es muy fácil para ser aburrido, ni muy difícil para rendirse. Divertido para los que les gusta resolver rompecabezas y acertijos.

Best. Scavenger. Hunt. EVER! Great clues (if complicated at times), visiting several landmarks in Antigua. Also fantastic staff running this. Would ABSOLUTELY recommend 💯💯💯

This is one of those reviews where I’m a bit torn. Fuego itself was incredible, our guide was great, and we had an excellent driver. The tour experience overall was solid.
Where things fell short was in the expectations that were set ahead of time. A “welcome gift” was mentioned multiple times, but nothing was ever given. We didn’t need anything—it just raises the question of why it was mentioned at all. The same thing happened with snacks and banana bread; we were asked if we wanted them, but they never appeared. Again, it’s not about the items themselves, but about setting expectations and not following through.
The hike itself was very good, though a bit more history or information about the volcano would have been a nice addition. I think our frustration mostly came from how the trip was built up in advance by whoever was messaging us, compared to what was actually delivered.
If you’re looking for a straightforward trip up and down the volcano with a sandwich at the top, this tour does that well.

We did the scavenger hunt in a group of 6 and it was AMAZING. It's a must do in Antigua. There are 9 riddles and each of them is put together very creatively. They are challenging also for adults but very doable nevertheless :)
I wish there were more scavenger hunts like this bc I would definitely wanna do this again!

This is the definition of a bucket list activity and I know I will be talking about it for years to come. I am not the most experienced hiker, so the 4x4 glamping option to drive up the mountain followed by a ~2 mile hike to basecamp was a perfect fit! I was blown away by our guide, Leo. He was incredibly knowledgeable, accommodating, encouraging, and a joyful presence for the entire trip. Once we arrived at base camp, our tents were already set up and totally picturesque. No detail was forgotten (down to cute potted plants on the bedside table!). The team that set up the camp was waiting with hot sandwiches, tea, hot cocoa, and had a fire burning the second the sun started to set. The views from basecamp are unbelievable and unobstructed. I was so grateful to be able to rent supplies (as simple as gloves all the way to a backpack) from Trek before we headed up the mountain as well. The briefing given by Matt the day before the hike was incredibly helpful and left everyone feeling prepared and excited. If you are looking to make a core memory, I can't recommend Trek Guatemala enough!
This was my first trip to Guatemala and I could not recommend the cultural walking tour of Antigua enough to anyone who wants to explore the city and connect with the history! Our guide, Nolwenn, was absolutely wonderful. She had such an impressive depth of knowledge regarding the history of Antigua, all the way back to the pre-Maya days, and highlighted so many fascinating architectural details that I would have never noticed on my own. She was incredibly thoughtful, even go so far as to avoid stairs when she could once she heard my group had completed a challenging hike the day before. The office itself is wonderful as well, offering water and other beverages and a convenient home base to leave any shopping bags or take a restroom break. Thank you to the entire team for such a great experience!

I LOVE walking tours, and the Antigua cultural tour didn’t disappoint. The booking includes entry to multiple historic sites, churches, and convents. We learned so much from our guide, who went above and beyond, mixing her exhaustive knowledge of the city’s history with fun anecdotes. She also answered our MANY questions and gave us great restaurant recommendations. I highly recommend doing this on your first day!!!

The Acatenango 4x4 glamping experience with Leo was the highlight of our time in Antigua! What a special experience to summit at sunrise and see Fuego erupting.
