Almost perfect but badly let down by a couple if
☺ Location, facilities, communal kitchen.
☹ Blinds were broken. Unresponsive communication from property manager who asked whether I needed anything by text message and when I sought information about local shops, etc. took 24 hours to reply and still didn’t answer any of my questions. No fridge in rooms at this pricing point is completely unacceptable. As is no freezer/ice in the communal kitchen.

We do not usually respond to our reviews however yours is so disingenuous that it cannot go uncorrected.
Your statement that the blind was broken infers that it was broken upon your arrival - the blind was, in fact, broken by yourself. This is not an issue, as these things happen. Had you reported it to ourselves, our maintenance team would have repaired it within the hour.
Regarding your statement that there was ‘unresponsive communication’, this again is untrue. You were contacted daily during your stay. On the two occasions you responded, your replies were incoherent. Due to this incoherence, our housekeeping staff decided to knock on your door to check if you required your room serviced. On the only occasion you deigned to acknowledge their presence, albeit you did not open the door, you advised that you did not require anything.
Many of our guests become friends, especially the ones from overseas, as we pride ourselves on going over and above in helping them, not just whilst they are in Aberystwyth but with anything else they may need whilst they are in the UK. Our consistently outstanding reviews reflect the standards upon which our maintenance and cleaning team pride themselves.

Exceptional
☺ The room was spotless, very comfortable, and had everything we needed. We appreciated the complimentary drinks and snacks that were made available in the shared kitchen. The location is ideal – close to the seafront, shops, and restaurants, yet nice and quiet. A perfect base for exploring Aberystwyth. Highly recommended!

Fantastic again! This was our second visit, and I'm sure we will be back.
☺ The help yourself breakfast is a great idea, room is really well appointed with quality fittings etc, clean and comfortable. The bottle of wine in the room was a nice touch. They really have thought of everything.
☹ If I have to think of something, the lack of parking could be an issue. We came by train this time though.
Comfortable and well managed
☺ Comfortable, up-to-date, clean, well equipped flat within a few minutes walk of the front. We appreciated the generous free snacks and coffee. Best of all was the amazingly responsive management who did everything in their power to deal with any requests and issues in a timely and effective manner. We would strongly recommend this place as a base for exploring Aber and its surroundings and we look forward to staying here again.
