This tour is/was simply fantastic! My wife and I had heard the Guatape day trip was worthwhile, but it exceeded our expectations. First, the communication around the pick up location and everything else on tour was excellent. Our tour guide, Santiago, was friendly, knowledgeable and fun. He provided just the right amount of structure and free-time. The best thing about this tour is variety - El Piedra de Penol is a great spectacle with a strenuous but doable climb, followed by a relaxing and fun boat tour, a great lunch to recharge, and a tour and down-time in the charming city of Guatape. Muy mala experiencia desde el punto de encuentro solo me dieron una opción la cual se encontraba bastante retirada de mi alojamiento escribí para avisar que iba a llegar 3 MINUTOS TARDE!! ( cuando uno está de visita depende de Uber) Me dijeron que no podían esperarme pero me dieron otra opción más cercana hasta ese momento no antes. Iniciado el tour nos dieron 1 hora en la piedra del Peñol, jamás nos explicaron la historia, no nos dio tiempo de subir, el barco es horrendo y lo mismo no te van explicando nada,tardaron mas en los puntos para comer porque obviamente ahí esta el negocio. Pésimo!

Sehr schöner Ausflug. Ich finde es mittlerweile nur sehr nervig, wenn bei den Ausflügen immer ein gezwungenes Programm ist. Z. B. Auf der Bootstour. Ich verstehe, dass die Einheimischen vom Tourismus leben möchten und müssen. Aber ich würde mir mehr wirklich kulturelles und historisches wünschen als Klamauk.

We had very high expectations for this tour and Tours Guatape still exceeded them all! The organization was excellent, including clear instructions on where to find the pickup point (with two locations, that worked brilliantly), and prompt responses to all inquiries. Guide Patricia did a fantastic job for a joint group of Spanish and English speakers and ensured that the whole schedule went perfectly; compliments to her professionalism and friendliness! We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast and, especially, the lunch - great food! The schedule was great - we never felt rushed and it was all very relaxed, including very smooth and safe driving by Mr. Javier. El Penol and Guatape (including a boat ride) are super destinations, which will definitely be key highlights on our month-long Latin America trip. Strongly recommended, great value for money, and compliments to all staff involved!
