From the visit by Rick Garcia to the installation of a new HVAC unit by Aurelio Mederos and Alberto Santana, our satisfaction with their service is based on a 3-week contact. Rick is very patient and explains detail of the quotes very well. I am not a technical guy so I am slow in absorbing the intricacies of a heat pump system. But he spent more than an hour and yet I never felt rushed or pushed to make a decision. It helps that our neighbors whom we highly trust, recommended Tokay to us. Aurelio and Alberto are courteous and efficient. They leave our place clean and pack everything with them. Alberto kindly explains what the next steps are. Jackie Anicas who helps us with scheduling and filing SMUD rebate, is also very helpful. I just have a feeling like everyone who works there are genuinely caring and want the customers to be satisfied. Either they are truly kind or the company treats them well. Or both, of course, which I believe to be indeed the case.
It's been about a month since our new HVAC was installed. I am adding to the above review because we've had more interactions with different staff members who are all friendly, knowledgeable and respectful. They had arranged for a third-party inspection (Carter from Elite duct testing) that identified minor flow issue which Tokay immediately fixed. Juan Maldonado came by and replaced our CO monitors as well. He was kind and quick. Today (May 19, 2026), Jaspreet Dhanoa came to complete the final inspection required by the city/county. He is very courteous and helpful. He answered all my questions, none too big or too small for him. He took the time to make connection with customer and I feel like he truly cares. This may sound hyperbolic but Jaspreet restores my belief in humanity. I just did not expect that from the people whose business is HVAC installation and maintenance, but this is exactly what you got if you deal with Tokay: you are treated like their own family.
Today (June 3, 2026) Ahmad Ahmadi came to check air flow and he arrived promptly. As always, Jackie let me know that Ahmad was on his way. I love that Tokay is very considerate of your time and includes pictures of their employees. For elderly customers, it's a matter of safety whom you let inside their home, so it's super helpful to have this feature. Ahmad is courteous and very professional. Checked thoroughly and recommended installation of an air purification system. I never heard of the iWave system but am pleased with his explanation and service.
June 16: I tried to post a new entry but I can’t figure it out how to. Our newly installed AC system was not performing as expected during the heat wave. So Eric Walden came last week, made a diagnosis that the filter drier needs to be replaced after listening patiently to my complaints. He spent a lot of time explaining and answering. I was never felt minimized the entire time. Excellent service and outcome: now our AC is working wonderfully. Thanks to Eric and his team at Tokay, we’ll be comfortable indoors this summer of El Niño!
Tokay Heating & Air sent out Ahmad to inspect my AC, and I had a great experience. He was professional, friendly, and took the time to clearly diagnose the issue. He provided an estimate on the spot, which I was able to approve the same day. I’m now waiting to get on the schedule for the repair. So far, I’m very pleased with the service and communication.
