Stunning food, amazing cocktails
Visited on a Friday evening. Nice atmosphere, staff friendly and attentive even though they were busy. Food was amazing, we had prawn wonton starter, and pork belly pad thai and beef with noodles all truly delicious. Cocktails to wash it all down. Worth a visit.
We are local and this was my first visit to Tōhi. What a treasure! The food was both affordable and delicious, the decor was beautiful, atmosphere was welcoming but best of all the staff were lovely. Very friendly, attentive and efficient. Very nice touch using my name (from the booking) to thank me as I left.

We three sisters had a wonderful 1st table experience here. The food was fabulous the hosts were so attentive and we had a lovely time. Don't hesitate to visit this restuarant. You won't be disappointed

Tohi is a new favourite.
Arrived at Tohi as a first timer and from the moment we stepped in we were treated as though we were the only diners, regardless of the fact the place was packed. The service was remarkable, taking drink and food orders promptly and educating us on the tastings. The staff were genuinely passionate about Gin and the food so this came across in the friendly service. Both food and drink were delicious ( especially the pork pad Thai) and well priced. Atmosphere was lovely and cosy and decor was styled well without being stuffy. We would absolutely return in a heartbeat. Thankyou Tohi for showing us a true taste of Martinborough without the tourist trap price tag. Loved it !! Locals are lucky here

Fabulous location in a beautifully restored historic building in Martinborough. The perfect spot to plan your next move in the Wairarapa. And if you’re a non drinker or designated driver, there’s plenty of alcohol free options on offer. Highly recommended.

Would recommend Tohi
We really enjoyed our first visit to Tohi for dinner. The lovely gentleman who greeted us and took the orders was so welcoming and chatty. We appreciated his awareness of a very noisy group that arrived and sat by us! The service was efficient and we found the food very tasty.

Unique experience trying the gin flight
Went here for the gin from reading about the gin flight. Not cheap at $37 for 3 tastings but a unique and fun experience. Also ate whilst there and food is Thai. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. Service from our Phillipines waiter superb.

Food was incredible! Loved the duck curry and the servers (Fon and Angie) were so attentive to us and made sure the food was to our liking! Can't recommend enough!

The food is absolutely delicious! We got the spring roll, duck curry and pork belly pad thai. The servings are very generous with an amazing amount of duck and pork in each dish. Also did a gin flight which is a fun experience. Wish they had more local gins on the menu such as the Greytown gin. Only down fall is the size of the tables are rather small to fit drinks and food with side plates as we were sharing.

As for the local gins, we currently stock the three Martinborough distilleries, and we’ve had the Greytown gins on the list before too. Unfortunately, the minimum order requirements made it a bit tricky for us to keep them in stock. Their gins are awesome though, definitely worth a visit to their tasting room in Greytown!
