Excellent service from start to finish. Jamonte “Jay” took the time to perform a thorough diagnostic to identify the root cause. He explained the problem and showed me the issues. He recommended the best course of action. He was able to complete the repair in about an hour. Now my garage door works. I recommend Tip Top and “Jay” and I’m also a repeat customer. They fixed my other garage door 4 years ago.

I had a garage door issue develop 2 days ago. I did an online search for Garage Door Services and chose Tip Top. I called this morning and asked for a technician to come to my house to solve my garage door problem. Tip Top dispatched Technician Monty. He arrived on time, assessed my problem and presented me with alternatives. After listening to what Monty had to say we made a decision and Monty began to do his work. He was polite, courteous, and 100% professional. If you have a garage door issue, I strongly suggest that you call Tip Top and ask for Technician Monty to come to solve your problem. He did everything he said he would do and our garage door is working properly again. Thanks Monty.

I can’t recommend Joseph enough! Another garage door company told me I needed to replace the entire motor, but Joseph at Tip Top took the time to properly diagnose the issue and had it fixed quickly without replacing anything. He was honest, knowledgeable, and saved me a significant amount of money by only repairing what was actually wrong. It’s refreshing to find someone who values integrity over making a bigger sale. I recently had a garage door system installed by Tip Top Garage Doors and there were quite a few missteps along the way.
At the initial consultation, we decided to purchase a door from them.They gave me 3 options based on the amount of insulation on the door, and each option was increasingly more expensive (which makes sense because the more insulated the door is, the more expensive). I decided to go with the middle tier.
After looking it up, the guy told me it would be a couple weeks before we could get the door because of the color of my door (a variation of tan). I said that was fine.
He then put me on the phone with his sales manager, and she told me it would actually be more like 3 weeks until we could get the door installed. She also began trying to upsell me on their most expensive door option after I had already made my decision. She told me that it was only a little more money to get the most insulated door and that I should go with that...I declined. It was an additional $400-500 to choose the door she was referring to, so I don't find that to be a small amount like she suggested.
The guy told me that since it would be 2-3 weeks before we could get the new door and system installed, if our current door stopped working Tip Top could send someone out to install all of the tracks, motor and everything and they would just add on the actual door when it arrived. This way we could still open and close our garage door. This was not the case.
Three weeks went by and I gave Tip Top a call to check on the status of our door and Emily told me they could come out the next morning at 9am to install it.
The next morning at 9:30am, I still hadn't seen anyone or heard anything about anyone running late so I gave them a call.
A guy answered the phone and when I asked him about an ETA, he told me he was just about to call me. He told me they actually didn't have the door yet, and they were having supply chain issues. Obviously frustrated, I asked if he knew how much longer it would be. He said he could call me back in a couple hours after he found out.
I reminded him of what his coworker told me about installing the motor and tracks in the meantime because our garage door had stopped working all together. He said they couldn't do that. I asked him why his coworker assured me of that and he didn't have an answer.
TJ called me back and told me they actually just received the door and it would be installed the next morning around 9:30am.
The door was installed the next morning, but they had the wrong hardware for the outside of the door (they didn't match my other garage door). I don't know how this happened because at the consultation, the guy took numerous pictures of my current doors. I called Tip Top to tell them about the error and they said they would have to locate the parts and let me know when we could get them installed.
Later that day (Wednesday), Jessica told me they would have to get the hardware from their supplier but they wouldn't be able to install them until the following Tuesday (almost a week later) because their supplier was going to be closed for Memorial Day. So the supplier was closed from Wednesday afternoon until after Memorial Day (Monday). It just seems like there would have been more of a sense of urgency given how long we'd already waited.
When the guy came to install the hardware, he told me that once he drilled the holes it would void our warranty for the garage door. This was the first I ever heard about this policy. He told me i could do it myself if I was handy, but it was just a weird situation all together.
I never leave reviews, but I felt like people needed to know about this experience. I chose Tip Top Garage Doors because of their 5 star rating, but I didn't receive 5 star service whatsoever.
I would look at other companies if I had to do it all again. I think they just need better training at all levels of the business.

My old garage door opener broke and because the door is also old, the springs are shot and it's difficult to get the garage door up (it doesn't have a freaking handle on the inside and it's a 16x7 door). I called TipTop Garage Doors and a technician was at my house in 15 minutes! Jamante (not sure if I spelled that right) was great. He showed me what was wrong, and went through all of the options in terms of replacing just the opener, replacing the opener and other parts that are dying a slow death, and replacing the door and the opener. He went through all of the door options too and showed me what they would look like. There was no pressure at all. I decided to bite the bullet and replace the door since they were having a summer special. Jamante replaced the opener and the door will be coming in a week or two. Hopefully the door installation will go just as well!

Zach performed my garage door replacement yesterday, and I am thoroughly pleased. He did a great job of explaining what steps he would take and what should be expected. He was professional and arrived between the time window specified. Once he completed the installation, he helped me set up the myQ app on my phone. Everything was “tip top” from beginning to end. Now my garage door purrrrrrs quietly instead of the loud BOOM it previously made. I especially love the added camera feature and that l have a live view of my garage. This feature is a plus because I don’t have to wonder about whether I’ve closed the door and even if I didn’t, I’m able to push a bottom on my app to close the door from miles away!
Ten out of ten (10/10), I would definitely recommend this business!!!!
