A friend and I had Christmas lunch at the Vincent Rooms Brasserie today. First visit. We had a quality three course meal, beautifully presented and tasty. Our server, Connor,was efficient and polite. The whole experience was very enjoyable and we would 100% recommend. All the staff there - students and supervisory staff were a delight. An uplifting experience.

Had a great Xmas lunch here. Everything was perfect and included drink, party pack, cracker and mini mince pies to finish off. The food was great. I particularly enjoyed the Game Terrine starter. Can't wait to revisit on a themed menu. Well done!!!

Well done young chefs South Korean menu - well done to the young chefs who prepared a challenging menu today with the various intricacies involved in the dishes. Had octopus for the fish course (a challenge for me), [other options available] which was tender and very tasty. The young people learning 'silver service' were clearly nervous, particularly having to relay to us all the ingredients in the 5 courses when serving. The meal took a bit longer than usual, because of all the above, but a lovely atmosphere in the room. Well done to the managing staff. One comment for management: we had travel problems due to train delays; we were unable to telephone to leave a message saying we would be delayed by more than 30 mins. and so were concerned we would lose our reservation which added to our stress levels!

Visited for lunch today at 12:45 From greeting to seating everything was perfect , our table student was very efficient and polite, wonderful choice of starters, mains, sides and desserts , fantastic wine Starters, Main course's ,desserts We're beautifully presented, food arrived hot and tasted great. What a treat! What a treat! We visited the Escoffier rooms - 7 course set menu which changes weekly as the students develop their knowledge and skills. We have just enjoyed the Japanese menu which was excellent. We were very well looked after by Poppy and Adam. Both were friendly and great communicators. Hubby especially liked the fish, duck main course and dessert but it was all delicious! An interesting menu with excellent and freshly prepared food. All fantastic thank you!

Exceptional as always Another exceptional meal here, this week a taste of the Arabian peninsula. £45 for 7 courses remains outstanding value as these students serve up tremendous quality food. Between my Dining Companion and I we tried the whole vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. This weeks star for me was the Jerusalem artichoke dish which was absolutely delicious - equally DCs highlight was the scallop one. Thanks to the talented star chefs of the future. Notably this time around the service was as fast as we have ever experienced - not rushed, but really slick. Talking to a lecturer afterwards it seems this group were towards the end of their rotation, and I guess all their practice showed. Shout out to our waiter Oliver, who was friendly and knowledgeable, and likewise Jamal who did the honours with the wine. A brilliant experience, and we've already booked to come back for the Italian week next year.

My colleagues and I had lunch at the Vincent Rooms brasserie and it was absolutely delicious. The pecan pie especially was incredible. The staff was very attentive, a special thanks to Eddi. We’ll be back !

Excellent as always It was the last day of service of the term when we visited, and the students had exams the next week. What was Surprise Week turned out to be the same menu from the previous weeks Spanish theme. A 7 course tasting menu for £45 is excellent value for the quality of cooking these students produce. There’s always a vegetarian option, and carnivores can mix and match. I went all veggie, whilst my Dining Companion did all meat. The highlights for me this time were the beautiful mushroom croqueta and the green gazpacho with sour cream ice cream, something intriguing that I’d never had before. DC raved about the soup course which was a bisque, her “amazing melt in the mouth” bluefin tuna, and the pork shoulder main. The students are learning in the open and minor hiccups can happen, but it comes with the territory. Our servers were Tyreese and Louis (apols for spelling) who were enthusiastic and friendly, which counts for a lot. I’m sure they have a great career in hospitality ahead of them and will ace the 4 courses in their exam. This is a brilliant restaurant serving extremely high quality food at bargain prices, all whilst developing future chefs. It’s a win win all round.

High class dining at a low cost price. An opportunity to try high class food and drink in a lovely setting at a relatively low cost. The food is prepared and served by students training to work in the hospitality sector. We enjoyed a Spanish themed meal with wine pairing which was fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. Truly a hidden gem 💎 ! This was our first time here and it really is a hidden gem! We had the non-vegetarian 7 course tasting menu with the wine pairings at £90 pp (£45 pp without the wine). There is also a fully vegetarian tasting menu or you can mix and match between the two menus. The food was delicious-particularly the venison suet pudding (which I wasn’t sure I would like) and the Bakewell tart-and the wine pairings very good. The students did a great job-well done! 👏👏👏Will definitely be back and have recommended it to others. They don’t accept tips but there is a donation box at the restaurant exit so do bring some cash if you want to leave a tip!

Truly amazing experience... From the moment you enter the gorgeous restaurant to the Petit Fours, each dish was brilliant. We had the Scandinavian menu, which included lobster, mussels, cod and vension. Each dish was served hot, beautiful presented and by friendly waiters. The dessert was our stand out dish, but every dish was exceptional. The college has worked hard to produce such high standards....Best place we have eaten in for a long time...Will definitely return for another experience.......

Très déçu, nous avons réservé pour la brasserie, vu les photos et les avis de Google, nous étions pressés de venir manger un soir. Arrivée mardi 19h, juste 2 tables de présentes, malgré notre réservation et notre confirmation, notre table n'est pas dressée. Au final salle vide (3 tables) comme le montre la photo. On nous donne la carte, lors de la commande et quand on donne nos entrées on nous dit qu'il y en a pas.. uniquement le plat. MERCI de nous avoir prévenu avant... 😰... on commande 2 poulets et 1 ribs, on revient 5 min après pour nous dire qu'il y a plus de ribs. Donc pas d'entrée et sur 3 plats il y en a que 2 de disponibles. Le poulet étaient bon. Mais ambiance sans musique , tables vides, manque plus de la moitié de la carte. Vraiment déçu 😞

We made a booking for the Escoffier room but somehow didn’t actually confirm it so when we arrived there was some confusion. The worst part was that for a service and hospitality school Mr Whitley the manager/maitre D could not have been less hospitable. He did manage to “squeeze us in” to the brasserie instead which was a disappointment but I guess it was my mistake. Just wish he’d been a little more pleasant to deal with. The fact the other staff and students there were all rolling their eyes and commenting on how crappy his attitude was confirms he’s like it on a daily basis. He really needs an attitude adjustment. Or maybe retake a course in hospitality? Regardless, lunch was fantastic and the food was gorgeous and tasty. The server was very nervous and shaky but still did a good job. I went to chef school here as a student so it’s a shame to see the head guy leave a bad taste in our mouths.

Great tasting experience Our first visit to the Escoffier Room was a great experience. The theme was African, the flavours were interesting and delicious and the presentation excellent. Our servers varied in confidence and knowledge but were all charming. We look forward to returning soon.
