Turf Scouts Reviews

David Pressley 2026.08.11

Had a follow up lawn treatment today after Hobie identified a fungus impacting our yard. Spoke with his lead via Turf Scouts as he detailed the applications from today’s visit. Took the time to educate me, as well as, took soil samples to ensure that I wasn’t dealing with chinch bugs. Very good progress over the past year. Really have high expectations for my yard. Southern Turf has been my Kryptonite for far too long now.

I’m not sure I can comment on the work that has been done to date. Though it’s been evident, by the notification flags left by your technician, he has treated the lawn. We have not yet met him. We notice the dieing out of the weeds. I am sure the treatments, are preparing the way for a lush, green yard by summer. I would like to meet your technician at some point. Grateful for your help!

My only regret re: Barrett Landscaping/Turf Scouts is that I did not discover them sooner! After having an extremely negative experience with a large, non-local lawn service company, I went searching for a privately-owned local company (which I should have done initially!). Not only have I been delighted with BL/TS's excellent personal service, but I have also been very pleased with the results provided by their services. Highly recommended!

Dustin came for our scheduled treatment this week. He did an excellent job! Particularly visited with me before departing to make sure I was updated on what treatments were performed and to check to see if I had any questions or issues. Turf Scouts have my yard looking beautiful.

We just had Barrett out to perform an aeration service on our front and back yards, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Our grass coming in noticeably thicker and healthier, but one of the biggest improvements has been drainage. We used to get standing water for days after heavy rain, but now the water is absorbed much more quickly.

A little over a year ago I met with Hobie Barrett. I asked Hobie to make the weeds go away, and the grass green. My weeds are mostly gone, and the grass is green and healthy. I am impressed with the service and professionalism of Turf Scouts. Their performance is excellent, and for less than I was spending on supplies. I recommend Turf Scouts. They perform well!
