Amazing service, fast, same day repair. Ethan’s attention to detail is amazing. You could tell he fixed every phone like it was his personal phone. Several customers came in and he patiently helped them. I will be back for any repair need. I could have fixed my own phone and typically would, however it would not have been done to the level of Ethan’s skill and experience.

Thank you for stopping by before this crazy storm that’s going on!!! It was a pleasure getting your A03s smartphone screen and battery replaced. I appreciate your business very much!
This is exactly the kind of place I was looking for! Small place, lots of equipment in the background and you can see how dedicated the staff is.
I was quoted $200 for a HDMI port fix at ubreakiFix (which is normal) but the turnaround was going to be anywhere from 7-12 business days. I called smart doctor and was told they could get started on my Xbox today. I was also able to pick it up same day as well! Life savers. I did not want to go two weeks without my gaming system 😭
this will be the only place I will go for any of my electronic repair needs.

Thank you Alyssa for trusting my store with your Xbox Series X HDMI port repair. I appreciate your patience and kindness when coming to pick it up as well - it got crazy busy towards the end of the day and thank you for letting me resolve the small issue towards the end. Your review helps keep me going to help others with similar HDMI port issues. Thank you very much!!!
Nobody is as good as Ethan in the business of device repair. I've been all over Springfield and the Branson area for years, and yes, I've had repairs done. Never have I ever had an experience like this though. His communication and commitment to his word and work are phenomenal. He is also familiar with warranties (mine was Allstate) and provided me with everything I needed for them without me having to ask. Even while cashing me out, we talked about gaming consoles because my PS5 keeps randomly shutting off. After giving him some details, he already knows what the problem is, so I'll be bringing that to him soon as well. Thank you so much for your time, consideration, kindness, and work Ethan. I'll be seeing you soon. Repeatedly, I'm sure 😊
Smartphone Doctor fixed my broken glass on my 📱 phone with excellence!!! He has solved my problems with my phone 📱 quickly and accurately.
Think twice before you use this business. This is my story.
The owner of The Smartphone Doctor is a nice young man who is over his head in his business endeavors. I am sure that he can replace the glass or battery for a cell phone but he does not have the time or desire to follow through with other commitments that requires more skill and concentration. He is the only employee at his store and the lack of efficiency and integrity shows in his work. He is constantly being interrupted by customers or other visitors and can’t spend the time and concentration needed to finish a job properly.
I left my Lenova computer with The Smartphone Doctor around March 17 to repair a loose power port that was not allowing the computer to charge. The computer had no other issues—it was running perfectly. The owner was recommended for his soldering skills and integrity by another repair shop in Springfield. I was called and told that the computer was ready on Friday, March 20 and that they would close at 6:00. I arrived at 5:45. The computer was still in multiple pieces, and he was hurriedly trying to finish up the work. At 6:15, he showed me that the power receptacle was charging. He did not turn on the computer. I paid $120 in cash—more than he asked to thank him for his help.
When I got home I discovered that the owner must have damaged or not connected some wiring when he had the machine disassembled because there were no lights under the keypad, the function keys would not work, the touchpad did not work, and none of the three USB ports were hot. Since I picked it up on a Friday and was told they were closed until Monday, I left a message by voicemail and text on Saturday on the telephone number that the owner used to tell me the machine was repaired. By Tuesday afternoon, I had not received a call. I again called and it went to voicemail. I then left a message again on the phone and typed another text. No call was returned. On Thursday, I called and again it went to voice mail. This time, I expressed my disappointment in his lack of response and care.
On Friday morning, March 27 he called. He said he never reads his text messages and voicemails because he does not have the time with his repairs. He expressed a sincere apology and offered to give me my money back if he could not fix the electrical issues for me. I encouraged him to be more professional with his phone calls or state on the machine that a person needed to come to the store to talk to him—that no answer is unprofessional. He listened politely and seemed to agree.
I brought my computer into him on Monday, March 30. Since I had not received a call from him for over three weeks, I stopped by April 24 to see what the status was of my computer. He told me that he had not tried to find out why it was not working—it was sitting on a shelf as he had been busy. He did not offer to give me my money back even though he had promised to do so March 27 on the phone. When I picked up the computer on April 24, he didn’t remember the reasons why it was on his shelf for repair.

Hi Sandi,
I’m truly sorry for your experience. I did drop the ball here—especially with communication and turnaround time—and I understand your frustration.
Your laptop should have been fully tested before it left the shop the first time, and that’s on me. I also should have followed up more promptly when it was brought back in.
I do want to clarify that I had offered a refund if I wasn’t able to resolve the issue, and that still stands. I’m sorry we didn’t get the chance to talk when you stopped by—I would have preferred to handle that in person, but I am certainly not going to hold on to your money for a job that I was not able to resolve. I have always operated with the no fix - no charge policy on repairs.
While I respect your right to share your experience, I don’t agree with the characterization of my business or work ethic in the first part of your review. I take a lot of pride in my work and in taking care of customers when something doesn’t go as planned as a small business owner.
I’m still happy to issue a full refund for the original repair. If you’d like to move forward with that, please reach out or stop by and I’ll take care of it. Thank you.

Thank you Evelyn for trusting me with your laptop repair and for the five star review. I greatly appreciate your business and for letting me take care of that for you!
Ethan is terrific. I’ve been to him three times with questions and each time he used his knowledge and skills to solve the problem. In addition, no charge! He deserves a great referral.
