Excellent secret crochet kit. Everything is included, apart from your favourite hook. The instructions are written almost as a crochet conversation. So easy to follow and very clearly explained. The little Christmas tree bonus kit is a delight. I love the fact you can purchase extra resources to make more items.

Updated Oct 25: Back for another amazing workshop, this time Autumn baskets. This was excellent and my first experience of working with bobbiny yarn. My arm had had a workout by then end but I am really pleased with the results (see image). I also bought the toadstool kit so I can make another, they are perfect for an autumn / Halloween table 😬 Previous review:Nicola taught me to crochet at a learn to crochet lesson in her beautiful cabin in 2018. The teaching was excellent and I left feeling full of the joys of having learned a new skill, with a hook and enough yarn to keep practicing. The cabin is very comfortable and there is tea and coffee and biscuits provided to keep you going. I have since returned to do other workshops like making an Easter bunny basket, and bought kits. All patterns are easy to follow and have links to video clips to help. I can’t recommend highly enough. Book a workshop, you won’t regret meeting a new group of lovely friendly people and hanging out with Nicola in her beautiful cosy cabin.

Nicola is a fantastic teacher. While living near her, I attended some wonderful workshops. Since moving away I have still bought a kit or two. Looking forward to receiving this year Advent Calendar 2023/4. Nothing is too much trouble. The Cabin Crew members are great if any there any questions. I have made two stools from Nicola's kit. She was very helpful when I wanted to make the second one and found me the kit. April 2025. Just made this spring wreath which was a kit designed by The Secret Crocheter. It was a lovely kit to make and easy to accomplish. April 2025. I ordered the pattern. for these hanging baskets from Nicola. They will be off soon as a present

I am now hooked on crochet after following Nicola’s brilliant videos which come with each pattern. I have purchased many kits since and only sorry that I am unable to attend workshops as I’m not local but, learning remotely has worked for me.

I've tried so hard for so long now to learn crochet & I find so many patterns confusing. A huge amount of YouTube videos are American, so the stitches are totally different. The Secret Crocheter patterns are clear & easy to understand. Several patterns you purchase, you can download so it is received immediately. I'm chuffed to bits that with these patterns, I am finally getting to grips with crochet & loving it.

Learnt to crochet with Nicola nearly 2 years ago and the 1-1 lesson was excellent. Since then have purchased all patterns from her as they are easy to follow and have useful videos to assist you. Nicola is also always available to assist if required. Not finished my first project yet, but half way through and loving it. I would highly recommend Nicola to anyone wanting to learn to crochet.
